If I could give negative stars I would. Just about everything about doing business with Clayton homes of Richmond has been a disaster. I don’t have the time or patience to write everything we’ve dealt with but to sum it up, our home is less than 3 years old and we have already had to replace our AC unit, replace our front and back doors due to water intrusion, our gutters do not function properly and is causing water damage as well. Apparently they don’t know what a gutter apron is and insist that the drip edge doesn’t work due to the way the roof is designed. Those are just the main big issues we have had with the home, not to mention the numerous smaller problems. But my biggest qualm with this business is their absolute lack of respect towards their customers. The issue with the gutter started immediately after installation and it has taken literal years of back and forth with them and yet nobody has come to fix them. Any time we had an issue right after moving in we were brushed off or given promises of solutions only to be left without contact from them for weeks or months until we decided to call and try again. That would just start the process over again. This why our gutters still don’t function almost 3 years in. They speak to us like we are stupid/uneducated/poor/trailer people. The only reason our doors were FINALLY replaced after 2 years of complaining is because we threatened to sue and call the BBB. I guess we will have to do that again for the gutters. We didn’t even bother with them when the AC went out because honestly what is the point? They are awful and I hope people would start to realize this before jumping in with this company. They absolutely DO NOT deserve your business. I could go on and on about all the small issues and all the ways they have slighted us so far but I’ll just leave it at that.

Some of the rudest most unprofessional drivers I’ve ever seen. Let’s take all three lanes of the freaking interstate during rush-hour to move a mobile home. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be fired and hung up to dry. Why not move these big fricking things in the middle of the night when there’s not as much traffic. Wouldn’t ever recommend you or do business with you because of your unprofessionalism.

My husband and I have had an incredible experience so far buying our first home! Right when we walked in we were treated amazing and we felt welcome thanks to our sales guy- Adam Trickler! He has been there every step of the way and he has answered every question for us! He is very knowledgeable and helpful, especially for first time home buyers! In fact, Kelly and Adam helped us close on our dream home in less than a month!! Overall, the process has been really fast and not as stressful as I imagined initially. I really recommend checking out Clayton Homes in Richmond!
