  I bought this home brand new in April 2023. I received a letter stating that they were having issues with this build of home leaking. I called Clayton and they had their "repair men" come out and fix my home once it started leaking within the first 6 months of ownership. It continued to leak and I continued to call. They would send out their "repair men" again only for the issue to continue. I called and spoke to them in May 2024 told them I have the issue still and if they could please come back out. I was told it's not their problem anymore and to put gutters up. They told me they would call me back because that wasn't good enough for me. Here it is October 2025 and they have yet to call me back or help. They are ridiculous and only want your money!

  Worst post sale experience that I have ever encountered! Let's the yard TRASHED (casualty of war they say) recieved the home filthy no cleaning service, go the WRONG home delivered, and I was told a bunch of little things we'll yea that too... dishwasher STILL don't work!!!! Hose spicket in the back STILL don't work! Baseboards are lose and not nailed down house is left unleveled... it takes a lot for me to get this upset

  Review of Clayton Homes, Mt. Sterling My experience with Clayton Homes in Mt. Sterling has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. My wife and I put down over $18,000 on a trailer, only to find out that they let someone else take it, despite our deposit. When we called to inquire about the status of the foundation work, the sales lady, Jaime, responded by yelling at my wife and throwing a fit. Their behavior clearly indicates they are solely motivated by money. Despite reaching an agreement with the bank on the distribution of funds, Jaime and her boss, Shell, failed to understand and execute the plan. Their inability to comprehend basic agreements is astonishing. They consistently prioritized their financial gain over customer satisfaction, which became evident when we had to involve corporate to address our issues. Afterward, Jaime decided we weren’t a “good fit” and refused to work with us, despite our significant investment and customization of the mobile home. If you are looking for a place to buy from, I suggest Oakwood in London, KY. We worked with salesman Cameron Johnson, who made the process easy. We have already closed the deal, and our home will be set up within a month. Additionally, we saved $3,000 on the same modular home with all the same features we were promised by Clayton Homes in Mt. Sterling. Prospective buyers should beware of dealing with Clayton Homes in Mt. Sterling or any other location. There are many other honest and reliable places to purchase from. Our experience with Clayton Homes was marred by unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a blatant disregard for customer service. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for your home-buying needs. Replying to Clayton’s After the fact, I handed over all the required money, and your salesperson had multiple conversations with the bank regarding this matter. Despite these efforts and clear communication of our expectations, it seems that we could not align with your corporate policy and process. However, it’s worth noting that Oakwood did not have any issues with the bank or the expectations of the agreement we discussed. Given the circumstances and the disagreements we faced, I understand your decision. Please let me know if there are any further concerns or clarifications needed.
