  My time at River Oak Apartments was nothing short of exceptional. Rachel and Kelly made my move-out process incredibly easy — they were professional, organized, and went above and beyond to help. The office and maintenance teams were always responsive, friendly, and ensured everything was well taken care of. The community is beautifully maintained and always feels safe and welcoming. I truly appreciate the entire team for making River Oak such a great place to live! If I ever move back to Louisville and need an apartment, this will be my top choice!

  i loved riveroak! its the only place in Lou ive renewed my lease. only complaint is there is only one dumpster on one side of the apartment for the whole community to use. requires some residents to use their cars to haul trash, unsanitary and inconvenient. staff and maintenance are uber friendly

  I lived here for two years and it was….okay. The location, views and amenities are what saves this place- but it all comes at a cost. Specifically the fact that my rent increased by $95 the first year and when I got my renewal letter they wanted to increase that another $85. There are 14 buildings and only 1 dumpster, which means I had to drive my trash just to find a gross, overflowing dumpster. My AC was out for almost a month, when I had put in 3 different work orders and every time it was “fixed” just for my apartment to be 85° the next day. They misdisposited my security deposit, not dispositing $375 of it, which led to confusion and frustration. Additionally, don’t expect for any of your questions to be answered when you call because they have an AI robot answer all of their calls and not a real human. Some other things that have happed have been that Mellwood floods which often leads to having to take a single lane alley to exit the property & random week-long closures of the pool.

  I found out about this place online but was blown away by the consistently positive reviews seen and completely understand why many residents have nothing but good things to say. I have felt welcome by staff and received prompt maintenance service as soon as I requested them. In addition, the home is well-insulated, which will keep my electric bills down. Overall, I am certain in my decision to move to River Oak! :)
