I've lived at the Grand at Florence for 4 years. I don't know why there are such bad reviews. As far as apartment life goes, this is a very reasonable place to live. Sure, there are minor inconveniences here and there and small improvements that could be made, but that is true anywhere you live. Anyone can grab a photo of the one time the trash compactor was broken and trash piled up. Machinery breaks down now and then, but that was resolved. Could the plowing be better? Sure. But it's adaquate. This is KY. If you can't handle a little bit of snow, this is not the state for you. My apartment itself is nice and the few maintenance requests we've had have been resolved very quickly. Tonya has been so helpful with several things and David in maintenance is a pleasure. My biggest complaint is why on God's green earth are there photos of desserts in the gym?! I will die on this hill! Lol. If anything happens to change my mind, I'll revise my review (good or bad). But for now, this is a fine place to live. I have even recommended it to a few friends.

0 stars if I could. I moved into the Quarry Apartments (which has since been sold to a different investment group) and it has been a horrible experience. They falsely represented the condition of the unit and features that were listed. I was moved into a unit that was never properly cleaned with broken appliances and promised replacements when we signed our lease and that never happened. There were multiple times I had to take days off of work after being promised that vendors were coming out to replace our damaged flooring and countertops only for no one to ever show up. While living there the office had gone through 3 different property managers, Cody, Erica, and Edward as well as high turnover with leasing agents and maintenance staff. We had them enter our unit on multiple occasions to point out damages for the promised replacements and fixes to never happen. The building itself is dated and not well maintained. We submitted requests for proper weatherizing  on doors and window seals in the winter after receiving electric bills of nearly $400 every single year for months, only for them to claim everything was fine meanwhile our window would fall in repeatedly with the wind. At one point I put in a request because I noticed a roof leak, we had them come out multiple times just to be told they would get a vendor out to repair it, and that took months of asking and our room to be FLOODED with our personal property damaged inside the unit before they finally fixed it. There were multiple ROOF LEAKS all over the unit which I pointed out to the property manager Erica and the regional Ryan when they entered our unit to asses damages. They fixed the one that FLOODED our room but left the others so every time it rained there was water coming down into one of the bedrooms and both bathrooms, with all of the ceiling stains growing larger and larger with no care about the risk of MOLD growing. They had an overall issue with trash being maintained to the point there was a RAT INFESTATION all over the property. Multiple neighbors experienced issues with mold that was never properly taken care of. The property failed to keep the gated community secure by leaving gates open and unsecured. We had multiple neighbors including myself have cars BROKEN INTO and STOLEN from as well as packages left at front doors STOLEN. The gym was broken into and damaged, the pool was damaged as well as a SHOOTING on the property. I understand they can’t promise security but they can take extra precautions to prevent situations like these, unfortunately that wasn’t the case here. Since we moved out, we have been back and forth with the Midwest regional manager Shannon about our deposit that was to be refunded and after 77 days we still have no resolution and have been given nothing but excuses. Save yourself the stress and do not rent from the Solomon organization.
