  Review edit: now that I’m done living at this place I feel I can edit my review in a comprehensive and honest way. The trash service was honestly the highlight of this place, being friendly and always doing an excellent job. These are very pretty LITTLE apartments, however, that’s all on the surface. During my time there with my child, the ac was a constant problem year after year multiple times it would leak onto the carpet creating large wet carpet areas. Attempts to fix resulted in temporary results that would just come back again and leak again. We got given a fan to use to dry the carpet and no concern about damage to floor. Our furnace in the winter was loud, and vibrated the entire unit, especially the bedroom. Sometimes it sounded like a propeller and the unit was going to separate from the building and fly away like in some kind of movie. The dishwasher would fall out of the counter cavity repeatedly if it were full, as it was never bolted or screwed into anything. The effacing in front of the kitchen sink always fell off also, a few times hitting my little one. The toilet felt like it would fall over when sat on, and rocked on the floor. There were many areas that could be felt under foot , and floor coverings, that were either uneven or sunk in.. the bedroom had what felt like a huge bolt sticking up under the carpet The living window leaked like crazy in storms also, the patio door leaked from day 1, and painters got a funk that looked like spray between the glass panes that we were stuck with. The washing machine and dryer were never plugged in so on move in, I had to climb behind them at 8 months pregnant, and do somebody else’s job. Plus washing machine always reeked of mildew and always had mold growth. Bread would mold in 2 days if not in the fridge too. And here’s the best part: more mold. In the closet and on the hallway wall. Attention was brought to the closet mold which resulted in a paint job that the mold just came back through. Attention was brought to the hallway mold, which I was told wasn’t an issue and ignored. The ac and furnace closet were moldy too, the appliance also had mildew inside. Oh and the ceiling above the ac/furnace closet caved in at one point because of water damage upstairs. On top of everything, when you finally break free of the grasp of Hampton woods, you absolutely will be charged exorbitant move out costs. They expect you to clean, even though they have cleaners come in after every single move. Our carpet was never replaced when we first moved in and smelled heavily of cat urine that never went away, and we had been there years, so I sure hope it is replaced for the next tenant. The location is nice, the grounds are lovely and the community are wonderful and they deserve better.

  Staff has been helpful in resolving misunderstandings. Maintenance tends to be slightly unreliable, but otherwise solid.
