  I had a very very poor renting experience with SCUDO. I think the fault lies on both the landlord and the management company. When we initially saw the property it was obviously not ready for rent. Since we were moving from a different city we didn't have the opportunity to see the house one more time before signing the lease. I had brought up my concerns, most specifically fixing the fence with the property manager and she assured me via text that this was on the list of things to be fixed. Although the property manager at the time was very nice and helpful we found several problems with the home. 1.) The fence had never been fixed. We had to file several complaints over the lease term to get various things addressed. 3 to 4 months before the lease was over the wind knocked this fence down. We had maintenance come out and it was determined the part that had fallen belonged to a neighbor. They stated they would contact them and arrange to get it fixed but this never happened. My dog continued to get out into the busy street. If you are going to charge pet fees I should be able to utilize the space for my pets. 2.) When we were putting our dishes away the cabinet fell off the wall (seriously). 3.) None of the appliances were connected upon move in. 4.) There were several large chunks of concrete and multiple 5 gallon buckets worth of broken glass all over the backyard. We had to replace our lawn mower due to all the debris coming up in the yard. Contractors randomly showed up one day to finish working on the concrete patio and were shocked to see someone was living there. Again to reiterate the property was obviously not finished. 5.) While I appreciate the timeliness in their responses to maintenance requests it is absolutely impossible to contact anyone here on the phone. When you call they will leave a message for someone at Scudo who will subsequently text you, not call. When my partner dropped our keys off at the shared office space no one at the company was there. We were told no one at Scudo works the last day in the office so they can avoid angry tenants returning their keys. I quickly noticed that they are attentive and available to prospective tenants and clients but once you are in contract you are no longer a priority. We have been trying to get ahold of someone because we moved out a month ago and have yet to get our deposit back. When we tried to contact them multiple times I was ignored and informed they no longer managed the property. This is such a poor way to do business. I will be discouraging anyone from using their services from now on.

  Scudo and their team have been so helpful and accommodating during this crazy time in our lives. There was never an issue of setting up a tour and we were able to do so safely and privately to keep all parties safe. The process of applying to signing the leasing was quick and efficient and all of our questions were answered to the best of their ability.
