I've lived here since early this year and all in all, it's been an ok place to rent. The maintenance guys are great and so is the office staff. However, there are a small mountain of annoyances that I don't expect from a building branding itself as a "luxury apartment complex" that wants to charge luxury prices:
1. The main (1 of 2) garage entrance door on Outlook has been fixed multiple times since I've lived here and still doesn't open right now. I'm pretty sure it's been broken more often than not in the 6 months I've been a resident.
2. Crumbling concrete on the outdoor staircase. It was repaired, but before that it was kind of dangerous if you weren't paying attention. Why is this happening already in such a new building?
3. Within a couple months of moving in, there was a sprinkler system leak in my unit. They had to tear out sheetrock in multiple places and put in a large, very noisy dehumidifier right in the middle of my kitchen, which had to stay for something like 10 days. Again, why is this happening already in such a new building?
4. Thin walls. I often play guitar late at night and within a couple weeks of moving in I heard about it from my next-door neighbor. I've never had this issue before in other buildings I've lived in, even the cheaper ones.
5. Drywall damage by the shower. Apparently, there's a known issue in some units with water somehow flowing out of the shower down the drywall outside and causing erosion. I put in a maintenance order the first time it happened and they fixed it, but it's already started happening again in the same exact place. I would feel bad asking the maintenance crew to come fix it again at this point. And what's the point if it's just going to keep happening? I've never heard of having to position my shower curtain in a certain way so that drywall erosion doesn't happen and I definitely didn't expect something like that to be a problem at a luxury building.
There are other smaller things, but I'll stop there. Certain things were definitely built cheaply, which doesn't really work if you want to charge as much for rent as they do in this building. I'm not saying don't move here. There are worse places to live at the same price point. Just lower your expectations for "luxury" if you do.

My experience with this apartment has been increasingly frustrating. After my first year, the leasing office saw over six staff changes in just six months, acting as a revolving door. Amenities like the virtual game simulator are often down. Management limited guests to two per apartment for the pool/grill area without prior notice or signage due to the lease fine print.
I had an incident where, after staying late at the pool, one of my female friends was harassed by someone impersonating staff. When I posted about the experience, my comment was blocked, and I received a lengthy email from management. In addition, a fine was issued to me for the incident.
After move-out, I received a $150 bill for carpet replacement and bathroom cleaning, but despite requesting proof, I've received no images. My last phone conversation, the front desk staff failed to mention management taking these actions.
Other issues: Car break-ins, and one of my guests being robbed at gunpoint in the front lot.

Block Properties tend to knock it out of the park and the Galleria is no different.
Truly top of the line amenities, property management and the community itself is extremely friendly and welcoming !
Would recommend in a heartbeat to anyone who is considering! Just be warned the incredibly easy access to Chick Fil A, Whataburger and Andy's ice cream is not for the faint of heart
