DO NOT COME HERE! This was my roommates and I first apartment after college. We were excited to move in but came across major issues on moving day. The apartment itself was not ready and disgusting. We had pee on toilets, broken blinds, sink that has a huge lump, outlets not working, vents in bathroom not working, dryer door not closing due to extreme lent filled inside, shower faucet shifts out of place, cracked oven display, microwave part peeling off, and bugs throughout the apartment. Eventually maintenance came and got most of these issues fixed but the issues with bugs never got fixed. We put in a request and was told it was complete but the issue stayed. Then come January we are given a random pest fee of $340 without warning as to why. The email stated failed inspection but after talking with management there was no photo, or timestamp of any wrong doing in are apartment. Still while I’m writing this I still not been given proof of anything wrong with my apartment and why I was charged this fee. This place has just been one headache after another and I would definitely not recommend moving here to anyone.

I recently moved to Sandstone and the original apartment I was to move into was not ready or to my liking at all. Maintenance was still in the unit fixing things that I was originally supposed to move into a month prior as I did my walk through. I requested a different unit. Madison was very understanding of my frustrations and we looked at other units that were vacant although she warned me because nobody was scheduled to move into those units she did not know what it would look like. We viewed two before I said yes to one that needed things fixed immediately but were in better shape than the others. I appreciate Madison’s grace and empathy for my situation. Next, I moved in on Thursday and was told maintenance would be in my unit Friday. I didn’t see maintenance until Saturday and that was from me calling nonstop because we couldn’t lock the front door from the outside. All the other things in the unit maintenance was supposed to fix went ignored until Tuesday the following week. However, Ron with maintenance came and did an amazing job with getting things fixed and making sure my unit was good. There were things that went wrong but I’m thankful they did get fixed. Thank you Ron and Madison for going above and beyond. Also, the others in the office are very nice as well.
Lastly, it would be nice if the gates actually closed! I wanted to move here due to the gates but they are never closed so it’s pointless

As a current resident of sandstone creek apartments I feel the need to share my experience thus far. I’ve been living here for the last 4 months and it’s been very rocky. Before even moving in we were transferred three times as the buildings we were to move into had “pests” (roaches). On day of the move in, the apartment wasn’t clean and we had to delay the move in by a couple of hours. Once in the apartment it was missing little things and some appliances weren’t working. We were able to get those fixed and did the rest of the cleaning ourselves. We then saw 3 roaches in our first month here. We called management and spoke to Jennifer who did not relay the information to Madison who takes care of the pests. After another month we finally were able to get pest control to come out. Madison has been nothing but helpful during our time here and fixing all of our issues in a timely manner. We had our heat go out, water heater replaced, microwave broken, no stove as it almost caused a fire, fridge not working, etc by a maintenance man who did not document anything. He was also coming into our apartment after hours when he was not even allowed in apartments. This was creepy and left a bad taste in my mouth. Anthony who’s in charge of the maintaince team was amazing with helping and reassuring. Now the parking here is not great, insufficient spots for all the residents. They had many abandoned cars in our lot. My roommates car was parked on a curb, not a yellow or red one, or one with a fire hydrant or signs. They towed her car to Knights towing or Lucas Towing, 25 minutes away in Olathe. We then had to pay $200 to get the car. The apartment complex recognized their mistake by having her car towed immediately and said they would figure it out. Madison, Misty, Parker, and Anthony all reassured me that they would make this right. Jennifer kept communicating that she was reaching out and waiting for the owner of the towing place to get back in town and handle this issue. After waiting and waiting we were told to call the towing company to get a refund. The towing company said we wouldn’t get a refund. I then went to the office to get this figured out as they are the ones contracting the towing company and were the ones who made the call to tow the car. I spoke with Jennifer who had completely flipped out of being a helpful manager. She was adamant they didn’t call to get the car towed, when I had facts that they did. Said she didn’t dictate the towing company and was adamant that they were in the right. I then explained a car had been in the exact same spot the car was towed at, her response was “why didn’t you call and get them towed?” I asked how Sandstone could make this right with all the issues we had and she said there’s nothing she could do. We already have a free garage from the first time we had to move apartments and we’re switching garages to make the headache of parking less difficult. Jennifer was very unpleasant during our conversation. I also brought up the fact the gates don’t work here, she said it’s because residents keep running into the gate. However as someone whose car was stolen at my last apartment complex and picking this place that had a gate made me pick it. Now knowing the gates don’t work and all the issues we’ve faced I don’t feel safe here. If I would’ve known all of what I know now I would’ve picked elsewhere. We’ve had our ups and downs here but most of the staff have been helpful.

Madison at Sandstone Creek is THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!!! Never have I lived at an apartment complex where if I had an issue it was taken care of SO fast and with such empathy and care. Everything I need has been taken care of so that this is the most comfortable and easiest move in process I’ve had!!! She has solved issues for me I didn’t even know could be solved! There are some things about living at an apartment I feel like you just except or are like “that’s just the way it is when you live in an apartment complex” but no! If I mention anything to Madison she has a solution!! And does so without complaint and with such a kind, amazing attitude! She even called to check-in on us a few days after moving in to see if there was anything else she could do! Truly living here has been a dream. I was worried when I was saw some of the negative reviews before I moved in about how it was going to be living here, but this new team is on top of everything! Nearly any negative review or issue you see mentioned about this place has been solved or is being solved!! AMAZING!! Thanks Madison!
