  This place is super unprofessional. Trying to make a move from Texas to Kansas City and this community seemed promising but the application process has been a nightmare. We put in the application over 2 weeks ago and have not received any proper communication from them. They gladly took our fee and processed the application but have not given us any other communication minus the denial but no further information as to why. Reconsider this place if you are looking for promptness and professionalism.

  UPDATE: Still no check.. well, they did send a check but it bounced because they filled it out incorrectly. 7 months later and we've basically been ghosted and don't know who to reach out to because management keeps changing, which is interesting... My roommate and I almost cried when we left because it felt as though we were finally free of a toxic relationship. From the very beginning to the very end there was so much miscommunication and unclear details with management. I should've known not to sign when my mom and I drove 4 hours for a tour, then got turned away because Denise claimed we weren't allowed to do a co-sign (this was moments after Aaron told us we could and it was no big deal). Nevertheless, we signed because a friend of my roommate said it was safe and as two women moving in to a new city, safety was #1 priority. We moved in. The apartment in of itself was good, the area was safe, and we were content. But then rent changed all of a sudden. So we went in and asked about. The only response we could get is "thats just how it is." Then, our fire alarms would go off constantly (no we don't smoke and we aren't bad cooks) and when we would report these instances, they were met with 0 concern. There were fees all over the place. There was also zero cell service in our apartment which made it very difficult to make important phone calls for work/doctor's appts. Overall this apartment was a money pit for no good reason so we decided to go through the move out process. Everything was going well with the move, unt we went to turn in our keys and sign all the necessary documents. When we got there to turn in our keys and we were told thats all we need to do. My roommate and I then ask about the document that was sent to us, from Adara, about cleaning, final payments ect. He looked at us and goes "what document." We know there was a change in management but it feels very concerning that no one in the office ever knew what was necessary of it's tenets or their own rules. It has now been 2 months since moving out and we are heavily considering leagal actions as Adara has yet to return any calls or emails regarding our $1,500 REFUNDABLE deposit. Our apartment was in borderline perfect condition (out side of two major fixes - one caused by maintain, both known by maintance who claimed they would wait until we moved out to fix it and we would not be charged). Even if they did use our deposit for cleaning, they should at least have the decency to tell us what our money was used for via an itemized bill. I really didn't want to leave this type of review. But the lack of response leaves me no choice.

  I just recently moved in a little over a month ago and I’m having regrets already. It took them over a month to do my maintenance requests I submitted the day I moved in. My blinds were broke when I moved in and instead of getting me new ones like they said, they took some from another set and put them in with mine and they are now different colors. When I moved in my hardwood floors were so dirty my feet were black within minutes of walking around. There are also paint spots all over my place where they did corrections. When trying to get ahold of the office the phones do not work. I’ve never been able to call and get anyone to answer and it’s really upsetting. I’ve also had to go in the office and request many things several times before it’s taken care of and sometimes it never gets taken care of. Emily and Aaron are amazing in the office and have been the only good things with my experience of moving in. On top of them charging me different amounts every month for rent I have had stuff stolen from neighbors and I’m so sick of living here.

  Aaron gave me a tour of Adara and I appreciated that he wasnt in a rush to get me through the tour. He was present and answered my questions with humor and detail. I am going to apply to live there because I loved it!
