- JSJason StephensMar 18, 20261.0Buying a home from Clayton of Evansville has been absolutely horrible and I would not encourage anyone to do so. The only bright spot to the entire experience was Joe, he is great and very helpful with his end of the buying experience. Getting repairs done is an awful experience, constant excuses or they just don't get back to you. The repair guys don't do proper repairs just quick cover ups and have to come out repeatedly to "fix" the same issues. They replaced some trim and cut it too short and never fixed it. When the ceiling cracks they throw mud in it and say its good then when the Crack comes back they say its cosmetic and don't want to fix it. The airflow from the hvac is horrible to the point I have to run an electric heater in the bathroom of a brand new house, and all they have done is look at the crossover duct and say nothing is wrong. The corner behind my bathtub was reading 31 degrees INSIDE my bathroom over the winter. Buying a home from Clayton of Evansville has been a horrible mistake and I wish I had never bought it. Heed my warning and look elsewhere.
