I have been at my housing addition for 13 years and Associa is the WORST COMPANY WE HAVE EVER HAD. They are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND INCOMPETENT TO HANDLE ANY PROPERTY. Their employee JERRI BOONE is OVERBEARING, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNQUALIFIED, HAS NO COMMUNICATION SKILLS and the company knows, allows and turns a blind eye to her behavior. They tried to push their company contractors to work on my property after my house fire and I told them I was not using them. It took them over a month and a half to handle business and fix my siding so I could get my electrical work started. Their contractors came in my garage when I wasn't home and Did Not Have Permission to enter my property. When I told them they act like it was no big deal. The people they hire for landscaping and snow removal didn't keep our property up. They did not trim the trees and the branches were hanging over the grass to where the cars drive by. The snow plowers hit our mailbox and broke it. It's very clear they are here for a check because our fees keep going up while they do a half ass job. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO WORK FOR ANYONE! In order for you to post it makes you hit a star but I don't they deserve any stars.

We signed with this group about a year and a half ago and it has been a horrible experience. No communication, no follow through or follow up. Many, many broken promises. You call, leave messages and never hear back from anyone. You email and never get a response. Very disappointing and frustrating, all the way around. Would never recommend Associa to anyone. Avoid at all costs!!!

In Indiana, businesses and associations are generally allowed to charge surcharges or convenience fees, but they must follow strict guidelines: • Cost Alignment: Under card network rules (Visa/Mastercard) and Indiana merchant guidelines, a surcharge should not exceed the actual cost the HOA pays to process the card. For an $11.50 fee to be "fair," your HOA payment would need to be roughly $380 to $450 (assuming a 2.5%–3% processing rate). If your dues are lower than that, the HOA or their software provider may be profiting from the fee, which is often a violation of merchant agreements. They charge an $11.51 convenience fee for each transaction. WHY???

Since moving into my community, I have observed a consistent and significant decline in the quality of management. While there is a strong sense of urgency when it comes to collecting fees, the level of service provided in return has been extremely poor. Communication from management is minimal and typically only occurs when related to payments or violations, rather than community support or transparency. When I first moved in, my HOA fees were reasonably lower than those of surrounding communities; however, within one year they increased by more than one hundred dollars and have continued to rise since. Management cited the need for a new fence as justification for this increase, yet only select sections were repaired, while other areas remain damaged and unsecured. Basic services are inconsistent. Trash collection lacks reliability, exterior damages are addressed sporadically and without urgency, and phone calls routinely go unanswered. Due to previous issues involving attempts to withdraw more money than authorized, I discontinued autopay. After several months of making consistent manual payments, I reactivated autopay. Unfortunately, the system failed to process a payment for one month, leaving me unexpectedly behind. Despite this being a system error, management refused to waive the associated late fees. I submitted three support tickets and requested a return phone call. Over a month later, all tickets were abruptly marked as “resolved” without any communication or explanation. Records show the tickets were acknowledged on the day they were submitted and closed on the same day they were resolved, with no engagement in between. To date, I have still not heard from anyone. Community meetings offer little recourse, as they are scheduled during standard working hours and provide no meaningful opportunity for concerns to be addressed. Feedback from other residents mirrors this experience. While management often responds publicly that they will follow up, they do not do so. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this company. The lack of accountability, responsiveness, and service is deeply concerning.
