We lived in The Residences of Wilmette for just over a year between houses. It was a great experience. The location is great - Metra station across the street, walkable to downtown Wilmette, easy access to the lake, etc. The building is nicely appointed and kept very clean by the staff. We had a few minor maintenance issues that were resolved quickly. The fitness room is well equipped and kept very clean. In the whole time we were there I can only recall one time a treadmill was out of service and it was quickly repaired and back into service. There is also a really nice event room, outdoor patio with grills, works space, whirlpool, steam room and sauna - all very nice and readily available. Also, the building just updated the entry panel at the front door and at the garage doors, which was a nice upgrade. We were on the third floor and you could occasionally hear footsteps from the unit above, but overall the building is very quiet and peaceful. Especially for being so close to the train station, it is really quiet. The apartments themselves are really nice with high ceilings. There were also a number of floor plans to choose from which made it nice to find something that really fit what we were looking for. If I had to say one negative it would be that there are only two EV chargers in a building that had at least seven EV's. Wouldn't really have been an issue, but one resident just completely disregarded the idea of "community" and parked for extended periods in those spots instead of only when charging. I realize that is more the fault of a rude tenant than the building, but it would have been nice if the building management made some efforts (signage, email, etc.) to facilitate better sharing of those spaces after being notified several times of the issue. But overall that was a minor issue and we definitely enjoyed our time there. If we had to do it all over again, we would choose to live here again.

This place was nice at first, but over this past month, we’ve dealt with an unusable kitchen sink, broken microwave that took over a week to fix, and several fire alarms that have completely traumatized our newborn baby by startling him awake from a peaceful sleep. There’s also a giant hole in our hallway ceiling that’s been there for like 2 weeks now...constantly spewing insulation into piles on the floor. Disgusting.

Finally a first class rental building in Wilmette. We were the first move in back in September 017. This really is a very nice building overbuilt with excellent amenities and great units. The apartments have Bosch Appliances, Duravit sinks and wood floors. How many small boutique buildings have a hot tub, steam room and a sauna and a large over equipped exercise room? Great common area nicely fitted out with a business center and conference room and a large common room with big screen T.V.s where we go to watch the Bears lose. In the fall we regularly used one the two small patios looking out over Wilmette to have a glass of wine as the sun set. A much very large out door patio with grills is in the middle of property as well. A package locker system so you can get your packages anytime is great. Two floors of heated garage parking including electric car charging was a huge plus for me as we have one. Lastly can't say enough about Brandi, the manager, and Jorgen, the leasing agent and very good maintenance team. Great service and they quickly took care of a couple of little things typical in a shakedown cruise in a new building. Anyway its the only new building north of Evanston and a really nice one. Highly recommended.
