  Beware I feel like this company scammed me ! I was excited to live at the Versailles but they displaced my family instead . I told them that we were moving from Texas . We had a move in date locked in , with moving across the country it is critical that your moving date is a real day. The Versailles did not care . They had me and my family move 25 hrs across the country to tell me as I arrived in Illinois the day before our move in that they don’t have anywhere for us to live . Mind you I had already paid tons of money for the movers, move-in fees, deposit money and all that expensive stuff. They tried to tell me they have good news for me , the good news was they wanted me and my family to come out of pocket for a hotel for 2 weeks while they find somewhere for me to live . That is not good news at all . They were not offing to pay for hotels or anything just we stay in a hotel and they take $500 off our rent for the next month . Hotels easily would have cost over $2000 . To top it all off I’m sure they are possibly a scam because they refuse to give me any the move in money back . My move in date was Nov 13th it is now the 15th of Dec . They told me to have no worry we will give you check tomorrow (meaning the day after the for move in ) . As you can imagine waiting this long for the move in money back while having to find a place for my family to live last min would definitely take a toll on any families wellbeing. Me and my husband are disabled veterans and live on a fixed income they are aware of this as we discussed this during the tour. You guys literally made us homeless veterans the day after Veterans Day . I would stay clear of this place . Very scammy ! Terrible business to trust with your money or family .

  The management of this property is excellent, I been living in this apartment for 5 years , I very enjoy living in this neighborhood and very sad that I have to move out of state. And I highly recommend the Versailles on the lake apartments. Thank you

  I really appreciate the Versailles team, especially Bill from the main office. Now that it’s cold outside, I was planning to take a parking spot in the basement of the building. I picked one without really thinking, but Bill stopped me and suggested I try parking there first to make sure it was comfortable. He even took the time to come and show me in person. And he was absolutely right — the spot I initially chose was uncomfortable, and thanks to his help, I found the perfect one! Thank you, Bill Patterson!

  I’ve been living in this community for a long time, and over the past year I’ve become really disappointed with my experience here. The rent is high for such an old one-bedroom apartment (I pay around $1,950 for my apartment). Everything is outdated — the heating system, the balconies, the kitchen, and even the washer and dryer, which often damage clothes. The clubhouse has been closed for more than seven months! even though residents were promised access to it, including the gym and workspace, and no rent discounts were provided during this time. This summer, the main pool was closed most of the season for no clear reason, and when it finally opened, the schedule was confusing and inconsistent. I also had personal items stolen from my PAID parking spot, and the management didn’t help or take any responsibility. There’s constant construction noise from neighboring units — floors, walls, ceilings, balconies — something is always being repaired. There are many other communities with either lower prices for similar units or newer buildings with much better conditions.
