TL;DR: You can find a better place to live.
I lived here for a year, and I’ll start with the good:
- The maintenance crew was very friendly and helpful. They did a great job keeping the campus looking nice.
- The people living here were always friendly in my experience.
The bad:
- The front office was extremely disorganized. From not sending my lease on time (even after I had already paid move-in costs) to poor communication overall, the office staff consistently showed a lack of effort in engaging with tenants. Many times it seemed like engaging with them was an inconvenience to their lives.
- The towing policy they implemented was predatory and unfair. They will tow a vehicle after the first mistake with no warning or reminder—just tow and go. They towed my girlfriend’s car on Christmas Eve, and the way they handled it was the reason I knew I wouldn’t be renewing my lease. It was an awful experience, and the front office had no remorse about us having to pay $240 to retrieve the car. The towing company they use is terrible and treats you like nothing more than a dollar sign. I only forgot to fill out a guest parking pass this one time, and it was an instant tow. Completely unreasonable.
- The advertised rent price is nowhere near what you actually pay. My unit was listed at $1,620 a month, but after all the added fees, I paid close to $1,800 every month. You can absolutely find nicer places for that price. I will note, $45 of the extra fees was pet rent, but many places fees are lower than that.
- My apartment building ALWAYS smelled like cigarettes and weed. My downstairs neighbors would smoke cigarettes almost every hour and I couldn't have my windows open because my unit would smell like smoke. The complex does nothing about it other than an email to tenants.
- The in-unit laundry were terrible. If this is something you care about, their units suck. And the communal units cost $4 per load (wash and dry). That is, if they haven't increased the price.
In short: Do yourself a favor, and find somewhere else to live unless this is your absolute last option. I’m very glad I moved out and no longer have to deal with this place.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! I just moved in and it has been an awful experience. The management has lacked clear communication on many things. My vehicle has been towed twice despite me registering my vehicle and being added to a “no tow” list. The walls are paper thin and all you can hear are your neighbors and barking dogs. Don’t waste your time and look elsewhere.

TLDR do not live here
It’s my understanding that the complex is under new management since most of my time living there, however this is my experience and it will take SIGNIFICANT work and a long time to unwind much of this from the systems and infrastructure present, regardless of management changes.
- You pay a monthly “common area maintenance fee”. Meanwhile there was a dead mouse in a common area of our building for months.
- When we moved in, management acknowledged that the decks were looking rough and told us that they were in the process of being redone, we NEVER saw this after we moved in and no work was done on ours.
- VERY creaky floors. You want to be on the top floor and if you’re not, I’m so sorry
- Appliances break and take a week+ to get fixed. Our laundry was broken upon move in and our microwave was broken for 2 weeks recently with zero communication about when to expect it to be fixed.
- The mail room is disorganized and relies on the honor system. Anyone with the app can get into the room so forget anything you’re told about receiving codes for packages because it’s irrelevant.
- Right next to the highway and potentially a convention center depending what side of the complex you’re on. Opening a window is incredibly loud. That + the squeaky floors + window AC units means lots of noise
- Included parking spaces are only 1 per unit rather than by number of bedrooms or occupants and there’s no option to pay for an additional surface spot, you have to get a garage spot.
- We tried to give up our parking space (extra $40 a month) because we no longer needed it and were told we were locked into until the end of our lease. Luckily for us that was only a few months but what if we no longer had a car after the first few months? Would we be stuck paying extra for 10 months???
- Some miscellaneous jank (sliding closet doors not closing all the way or popping out of the track, haphazard painting , curtain rods often come loose, screen door gets stuck, AC takes a few tries to turn on, etc).
- Little transparency about fees or utility charges and how they are calculated
You can find better for the same rent

Nick the leasing agent did a great job helping me tour the place and apply for an apartment. The community is comfortable, clean and everyone in the management office is very nice. Highly recommend.

I was moving cross country from the west coast back to the Chicagoland area which brings it's own ups and downs. Thankfully, Essie at Fieldpointe helped me along the way with consistent communication, clarity in details and helping with everything from a flexible move in date, walking me through the process and answering any and all questions related to the property, apartment, maintenance, property perks and everything in between. The apartment and property are set up very well and easily for residents to address everything from laundry to package delivery to gym access and parking. Further, they were 3 small things that maintenance needed to address and they were done within a week of asking and the Maintenance team was very communicative from start to finish. Cheers to them and Essie for a smooth move in and stay!
