  We moved our parents to Savoy Place from another area facility. That is a story unto itself, and not a 5-star one. But this is about Savoy Place. Mom has been a resident there for well over a year. She has thrived under the care she has received. She is happy, healthy and clean. She looks younger than she has in years. On one recent visit, she was rocking a sassy ponytail the staff had done for her. They like to change her jewelry, and her nails are always a different color. This kind of personal attention is part of what makes them so special. The facility floor plan is very considerate of the needs memory care patients have with resident rooms on the perimeter and the commons area in the center. It is easy to navigate. The rooms are a just-right size with a simple layout and good floor space. The food is fresh and homemade. The staff is exceptional. They are friendly and attentive. We had been surprised by the first place our parents were in with the number of times we were contacted by the staff. They had a continuous list of needs we were expected to provide on top of the high monthly cost. We didn't understand why so much was falling on us. We're happy to help with our parents, but are still in our working years with very little spare time. Savoy Place doesn't do that. They manage virtually everything. Dad passed after a few months at Savoy Place. They did so much to improve his quality of life that I am convinced we had more time with him because of it. There are often "levels of care" at other facilities. They didn't do that. They provided the extra assistance he required with no extra costs, and with nothing but professionalism and kindness. The director of the facility was with us during his last hours, overseeing all the details and making us as comfortable as possible. I will always remember all that she did for us during that time. We are grateful to Savoy Place for all that they do.

  Our mother recently passed peacefully while living at Savoy Place. We have lived through several different management companies while she lived in the facility, and I am writing to express my deep gratitude that the final care she received was guided by Danielle Wade and her team of skilled care providers. Danielle and Amanda were kind and extremely knowledgeable as they guided us through this challenging process as our family experienced the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on our mom. When we needed guidance regarding her medications and physical needs, Richard and Elizabeth were there to guide us with care, compassion and wisdom. As the disease progressed, her dietary needs changed and were expertly managed by Alicia and Joe as they prepared meals which she greatly enjoyed. John was very helpful as we set up her room and attended to her ongoing housekeeping needs. I especially want to highlight the gentle loving presence I witnessed through her daily caregivers. Tierica, Destiny, Jeanne, Ashante, Taylor and Adijah treated our mother with respect, dignity and loving kindness as they walked with her through her final years. Our family had been truly blessed by all of these wonderful people. Thank you for softening this deeply challenging life situation for us and for all the families in your care. Rachel B.

  My husband requires total care due to his dementia. I was told he needed a nursing home placement but the staff at Autumn Leaves said they could care for him in Memory Care. They are as good as their word! All staff, from the excellent chef to the aides, nurses and administrators are caring and professional. My stress and anxiety are relieved as I see how well he is doing now. I would highly recommend Autumn Leaves for a loved one.
