Absolutely Do Not Rent Here — Terrible Experience This apartment complex was a complete nightmare. Please, beware before signing a lease here. I’m a young woman, and this was my first apartment — and it ended with me terminating my lease after just a month and a half due to multiple serious issues. 1. Severe Spider Infestation The apartment was completely infested with spiders from the day I moved in. I was killing 20–30 spiders every day, and despite deep cleaning and having very few belongings, they kept coming back. They laid eggs, and baby spiders hatched everywhere. Pest control came but told me, “They’re harmless and don’t bite, so you should be fine.” Absolutely unacceptable. Spiders were making webs on my clothes, inside all of my shoes, chargers, and even inside my brand-new bed frame. I was specifically told there would be no pest problems — that was a blatant lie. 2. Unsafe Environment The property felt unsafe at all times. I frequently heard gunshots at night, found empty alcohol shooters left on my patio, and experienced men loitering and following me when I came home. One man repeatedly stood near the garbage area drinking. As a woman living alone, I never felt secure. 3. No Internet Access I couldn’t access the internet for my entire stay because the previous tenant was in collections with Xfinity for creating fake accounts and not paying bills. Management did nothing to help resolve this issue, leaving me completely disconnected. 4. Parking Issues Even though I paid for parking, there were no available spaces on at least five separate nights. I was assured before moving in that this would never be an issue — another false promise. 5. False “Smoke-Free” Claims Despite being advertised as a smoke-free community, people smoked around my unit every single day. The smell constantly came into my apartment. I deeply regret ever signing a lease here. I lost a steep move-in fee that was never reimbursed, despite my short stay and these awful conditions. Since moving to a new complex, I finally feel safe, clean, and comfortable again. I wish I had never been misled by this property’s management. Do not rent here — it’s not worth your money, your safety, or your peace of mind.

Apartments complex infested with mice and bugs. We had mice in our apartment that came in from the boiler room. Maintenance would rarely come check traps and when I called because a mouse was caught they would never bring replacements. Our first day in the apartment the sewer line backed up and the access to the line is in the apartment in the master closet. They opened the line and waste from all the units was spread all over the floor and our brand new furniture. They did nothing to make it right. I had to clean because maintenance did a half ass job. Ants are constantly in the apartment no matter what you do. We tried breaking our lease but office was not sympathetic to the situation and send we would have to pay out the rest of our lease to leave. even knowing I had 2 very young daughters. Maintenance is incompetent and rude walks through your apartment with no shoe covers on. The staff in the office are unreliable and have no knowledge of anything home related. They charge a renovation fee for horrible work and crappy vinyl floors. The apartment was falling apart during the duration of our lease. When our lease was over and we moved out the office had the audacity to charge us for there poor renovations. We did run out of time and left some thing behind which I let the office know and they said it was totally fine. They made me remove my vehicle from the property because the sticker on the plate was expired but I only use my work truck so I didn’t feel the need too, along with dmv issues it wasn’t paossible at the time. So I had to put my vehicle in a storage unit or it was going to be towed. At the end they charged us $1066.58. If I could I would give zero stars. I’m in the process of trying to compromise but they are not responding correctly or professionally meaning they just want to send it to collections to not deal with communicating.

I lived here a couple years ago and I have no complaints! I lived in one of the loft-style apartments and although it was creaky due to the building being older, I fondly remember living there and loved working with Andrew!

Lived there for 2 years. Constant dog barking (like non-stop for hours on end) from multiple tenants - made multiple complaints about it, along with several other neighbors, and nothing was ever done. They basically just told us to call the cops. I tried leaving one neighbor a note about their barking dog and was sent a notice to "cease communication with the neighbors". They raised the rent on me both years I lived there, claiming that their apartments are in "high demand", yet my unit has sat empty for the past 2 months. Guessing nobody else wants to live in an overpriced unit with irritating neighbors either. There are a lot of options when it comes to apartments - if I were you, I would avoid this one (unless you happen to like listening to dogs yap all day in an overpriced apartment).

11:41PM AT NIGHT SEPT 22, 2025 the crew they hired to resurface the parking lot is out there using leaf blowers in the parking lot. I live next door to the community and I get woke up to the noise. Crew outside yelling across the parking lot to each other etc. This afternoon one of the residents was parked in my parking spot in my community and our leasing office had to make them move. You would think the management office would have set hours for the parking lot crew like they did for our community when they redid ours last month. If this happens again tonight I will be calling Palatine PD as it’s a violation of the Village noise ordinance.
