  We rented this apartment for a full year and truly loved our time here. It’s a 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment at a great price compared to similar options in the area. The absolute highlight was the view — it was beautiful and something we enjoyed every single day. The area is very quiet and peaceful, with a lovely neighborhood feel. Rooms are large and nice, while the kitchen is spacious and comfortable to use. Management was amazing — kind, helpful, and always responsive. Maintenance was available 24/7 and every request was handled quickly and professionally. Overall, this was a wonderful place to live, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed home.

  The sanctuary is one of the best kept updated apartment complex around in the Gurnee/ Grayslake/ lake villa area. What is great about it is how close it is to the train station and Gurnee mills. Most shopping needs are within 10 minutes. The staff are very kind and friendly (both mid-week and weekend) and easy to work with. Repairs get done in a timely manner. Grounds are kept neat and tidy. Pets are welcomed (at a reasonable cost). Clubhouse is nice, gym is usable. Pool is great well kept. Only negative thing I have is - that you have to pay additional for a garage space and better appliances (which is normal, but annoying) overall a very nice place to rent.

  Spent four years at the Sanctuary, (my first time on my own) and I loved it. The perfect transition into eventual home ownership. I would strongly recommend getting a garage if they have one available! Maintenance was also quick and responsive. Never any problems with noise or neighbors. Loved my time there!

  As a working single mother of two school aged children, I am able to say that being a resident here at the Sanctuary has brought peace of mind to my busy work/life schedules. It is truly a sanctuary, as the management are always willing to help. The maintenance crew is on call and promptly responds to any and every work order that I have called in. The neighbors are friendly and peaceful. The Sanctuary is close to everything I need, from a variety of grocery stores to services and accessible commuter options for both work and leisure travel. I take pride living here, as the property owner is a highly respected and ethical person. I realize there are more housing options in the area, however the customer service quality, safety and security here at The Sanctuary does not compare to any other of the local housing options.
