  Free guest parking, a quiet neighborhood, and Mariano’s and AMC theatres are in complex. I had an amazing view. The management team was responsive to every request. Issues: Hot water. In the kitchen, I had to wait seven minutes. Ten or more in the shower. Neighbors had the same problem and worse. I was assured it was being worked on. It was not resolved by the time I moved out. Hard to believe no plumber to fix this can be found in Chicago. The call box that visitors can use to call me from the guest parking area to be let in was out of service for months. I had to go to the garage to let them in. There was a broken soap dish attached to the shower pole in the guest bathroom. I asked that it be replaced. The Chief Engineer said that it would be a tremendous amount of work, that I should get a replacement myself from the Dollar Store, and that it was not his responsibility as it was not original equipment. This was inaccurate: It was original equipment. He was unaware that not every apartment had the same fixtures. I was offered the opportunity to move to a different apartment in the building that did not have the hot water problem. Then I received the routine notice of a rent increase if I renewed my current lease. I was offended that the owners would use an algorithm to raise the rent without any consideration of the hot water problem that I had endured. After asking for some compensation for this water issue, the owners offered a fair amount. I asked that it be applied to the next month’s rent and was told that it would be done. It wasn’t. It seems that management is subjected to micro-management by the out-of-state owners. Decisions that would be made quickly by property managers elsewhere were delayed, having to go up the chain through the out-of-state management company and then to the owners. Taken together, these and other issues, particularly the unresolved hot water problem and the handling of compensation, made it clear that remaining in the building was not a viable option.

  I’ve really enjoyed living here. The management team is super friendly and always available to chat about anything going on with your unit, or to hear your suggestions for community events. One of the best residence experiences I’ve had.

  Building is so well kept and clean + all the staff are the friendly and host great events for residents! The actual apartment views are unreal + something small I appreciate is how thick the walls are, never hear noise outside the apartment.
