My name is Parveen and I have really enjoyed my stay here at the Streeter. The staff is helpful and friendly. I especially enjoy working with Noah who is always on top of things. He responds very quickly. Maintenance comes very quickly. The building is kept immaculate. I am very choosy about where I live and the Streeter does not disappoint. They have this building run efficiently and they really care about their tenants and it shows. Elevators come quick and run smooth!!! I never have to wait on an elevator. The amenities are wonderful and the jacuzzi is kept clean!!! I receive all of my Amazon packages and I haven’t lost any in the months I have lived here. This is a difficult feat! Most other buildings I lived in lose packages. Should you be considering moving to the Streeter I highly recommend the property. It’s tough to beat the location. Near everything! Shopping, the lake and grocery stores!!! Two thumbs up for the Streeter!!! I’m very pleased!

I sure am HAPPY we moved into The Streeter! The entire team (Gregory and Noah from the leasing management office, front desk team, maintenance team and housekeeping team) are friendly, helpful, compassionate and efficient. The building itself is beautiful and our apartment is too. We have floor to ceiling windows in every room except one bedroom where the windows cover about three fourths of the wall. Our apartment also has FABULOUS city AND lake views in every room and a balcony that faces the lake! The location is ideal for convenience too. Ten to fifteen minutes away walking are major banks, the post office, UPS, Floyd’s Barbershop, Walgreens, Target, AMC movie theater, Navy Pier, the lakefront, Whole Foods, Michigan Avenue shops and several restaurants!

Warning: South-facing units are a sauna and management isn’t transparent. We were specifically told we'd have independent temperature control, our #1 priority when signing, but management quietly shut off the building A/C for the season without notifying tenants. Even with outside temps in the 30s & 40s and windows open, our south-facing apartment reached 82°F during the day and stayed at 76°F overnight. When we requested an early lease termination due to a medical condition that makes me sensitive to heat, management refused, falsely stating that allowing it would be discrimination against other tenants. They also refused any cost assistance to transfer units, despite the high cost and effort of having to move again. Even with a portable A/C and windows open, the temperature never drops below 74°F and still climbs to 80°F daily. It’s made working from home impossible and sleeping uncomfortable. If temperature control or transparency matter to you, think twice before signing here, particularly for south-facing units.

My experience with The Streeter was very disappointing. My roommate and I submitted a basic application and paid the move-in/admin fees upfront — before they even requested our financial information or provided a lease to sign. We never completed the full screening process, and we didn’t have a cosigner, so we likely would have been denied. Due to a personal circumstance I had to withdraw from the process. When I asked for a refund, they cited their policy: the $65 application fee is non-refundable (which makes sense), and the $250 admin/move-in fee is only refunded if an applicant is denied. However, since our application was incomplete and would likely have been denied, this situation technically qualifies under their policy for a refund. Despite this, they refused to return the $250. These fees cover move-in services we never used and will be collected from the next renter anyway. Keeping our money under these circumstances felt unfair and inflexible. I would caution anyone considering this complex to carefully review their policies, as they may not provide refunds even when your application is incomplete or you cannot move in.
