I live in the building and for the last few weeks the hallway on the first floor smells like pure sewage, it's gotten so bad that I woke up at 5am yesterday because of the disgusting sewage smell seeping into my bedroom. It's now seeping into my unit all the time. I've been asked for money, begged, harrased multiple times now when I have left my apartment and walked down the hallway. For the price of these units, this should be a much better place. Management is unhelpful and honestly not very nice. You get your unit filthy with no cleaning, you can't use your patio because of water dripping from AC units above you. I actually reported it and asked how that could be resolved and my email was ignored. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. There are better units available privately or check out some other rental buildings in the area. I'm stuck in a lease in a building that is disgusting and can't get out of it. Don't make the mistake I did.

Oh, trust me — think twice (or three times) before even considering The Montrose as your home. This place is a total nightmare dressed up as “luxury living.” The management? Completely unprofessional and only nice until they’ve got your signature on the lease. After that, you’re on your own.
The building is absolutely infested with roaches, the garage feels unsafe at all hours, and the hallways constantly reek of marijuana. I’ve personally witnessed people using drugs both inside and right outside the building. Step outdoors, and you’ll find people begging aggressively — some even get hostile when you say no. It’s beyond uncomfortable; it’s unsafe.
And when I raised legitimate safety concerns and asked to end my lease early, management’s response was basically, “Sure — just pay us two more months of rent.” The audacity!
Bottom line: The Montrose is a cash grab with zero care for its residents’ well-being. Don’t fall for the fake charm — they’ll smile to get your lease, then milk you for every last dollar while you live in chaos. Stay far, far away.

Oh, where do I even begin? This building is an absolute disaster from top to bottom. The move-in process? A chaotic circus act. Everything was rushed, disorganized, and the unit was handed to me in disgusting condition — we’re talking filth, grime, and yes, roaches. Totally unacceptable.
My so-called “private patio” is basically a swamp because the AC units above drip dirty water nonstop. The management team? Let’s just say they’re all smiles and “we’re here for you” until you’ve signed the lease — then radio silence. They ignore maintenance requests, act like you’re inconveniencing them, and have zero professionalism.
The garage feels like a scene from a crime documentary — unsafe, sketchy, and not somewhere I’d leave my car. And stepping outside your door means getting approached for money or seeing people doing drugs near the side entrances. How this place is even allowed to operate is beyond me.
Bottom line: Beware. This building is a nightmare wrapped in false promises. There are plenty of better, safer, cleaner options in the area — and I highly suggest you look elsewhere before you regret it like I do.

This building is an absolute nightmare. It’s dangerous, dirty, and completely mismanaged. People are literally doing drugs in the side entrances, and you can’t walk down the hallways without being harassed or begged for money. The so-called “secure” garage is a joke — they charge $265 a month for parking, only to turn around and tow your car. Even if your sticker is sitting right on your dashboard. They believe the word of their SHADY RUDE tow truck company instead of believing and helping their tenants. Management is the worst part: rude, unprofessional, and totally indifferent to tenant safety or concerns. Their only focus is squeezing every last dollar out of residents. Avoid this place at all costs — it’s unsafe and run by people who clearly don’t care. I tried to address this with management and instead of helping I was given false information and offered no assistance. The response from management if incorrect and shows the type of management that this building has.
