Dear Toll Brothers Leadership,
Camille and I spent time today with Emilie Kamholz at the Toll Brothers Design Studio and walked out saying the same thing—“that was actually enjoyable,” which is not something you typically say after making a thousand home decisions. I don’t typically express views on the web. However, because our day trip from San Diego to Meridian, ID for our design studio meeting was packed with decisions and guided by the unknown, we hit the jackpot working with Emilie.
Emilie runs a tight, organized process without making it feel rigid. She knows her craft, explains things clearly, and keeps things moving without pressure. When we needed guidance, she had it. When we wanted space to think, she gave it. That balance is harder to find than it sounds.
She also has a way of translating design options into real-life outcomes, which made decision-making a lot more practical and a lot less overwhelming. No guesswork, no confusion—just steady, informed progress.
Bottom line: professional, efficient, personable, and clearly invested in getting it right for her clients. Emilie represents Toll Brothers extremely well.
We bought a new Toll Brothers home and the kitchen package we selected has injury causing design flaw. The KitchenAid hood sticks out too far and it has cause two cut injuries to my face/head. I've have had to put rubber corner guards on as Toll Brother refuses to address and correct.

Due to their faulty construction, mold developed in our shower pan. Mold—something that literally poisons the air we breathe. And instead of taking responsibility for the damage they caused, Toll Brothers has decided that we should pay $20,000 to fix it.
The assumption that a teacher can just absorb a $20,000 expense is beyond insulting—it’s predatory. It shows a complete lack of awareness, empathy, or basic decency. This is not just a construction issue; it is a moral one. We feel taken advantage of, dismissed, and treated as disposable by a company that hides behind its wealth and legal language instead of doing the right thing.
Mold is a serious health hazard, and Toll Brothers’ refusal to address it feels reckless and dangerous. Knowing there is mold in your home—their home—and choosing to ignore it is unconscionable. No one should have to beg a luxury builder to care whether their homeowners are being exposed to something harmful.
It is devastating to realize that a company with endless resources would rather protect its profits than protect the people living in the homes they built. This experience has been emotionally exhausting, financially terrifying, and deeply disappointing.
If you are considering Toll Brothers, ask yourself this: when something goes wrong—and it will—are you prepared to fight a massive corporation that has already decided your health, your livelihood, and your peace of mind are worth less than their bottom line?
Luxury pricing. Zero integrity.

Do not recommend them. They are not willing to fix the faults in the homes they built. You will be stuck with major bills.
