  I strongly advise any HOA Board to think twice before hiring Associa Hawaii. My experience with them has been unprofessional, unresponsive, and their billing practices are highly unethical. Here is exactly how they operate and how they handled my situation: 1. Unjustified Late Fees: They changed the late fee deadline from the 20th to the 10th without any prior notice to residents. My February invoice clearly stated "Late On 02/20/2026," and I paid well before that date. Despite this, I was slapped with a penalty for paying after the 10th. 2. Lack of Accountability: When I reached out to their Accounting Department, they admitted in writing that they failed to print the correct deadline on the invoice. However, they did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. I followed up three separate times over the next few weeks and was completely ignored. 3. Chronically Late Statements: Echoing what other reviewers have said, their paper statements are mailed out incredibly late. Payments are due on the 1st of every month, but the bill almost never arrives in my mailbox by then. We never had this issue with our previous management company. A property management company entrusted with our valuable assets should possess basic administrative and communication skills. Associa Hawaii lacks both. While the monetary amount in this specific case is relatively small, it’s about the principle. I am leaving this review so that others know exactly what to expect from this company.

  I was calling to update my account. It took me five calls to get the right phone number; which I received from a person who answered a phone in a conference room and redirected me to a receptionist. Then it took another three calls to finally get someone to assist me. When I finally spoke to Deedee; she was able to answer all my questions I had on my account; and sent me an email for verification to update my account information. Deedee was truly helpful; and knowledgeable.
