    Fantastic Service from Benjamin Risk! ​I had an excellent experience working with BlJB (Hanley Stoke-on-Trent). They are an outstanding local estate agent and are clearly at the top of their game. They just don't stop trending in the local market! ​A special shoutout to Benjamin Risk, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He didn't make me wait around; he provided me with an accurate rental valuation and a clear duration/timeline for my property straight away. His knowledge of the local rental market and population trends was highly impressive. ​If you are looking for a proactive, efficient, and knowledgeable team to handle your property, I cannot recommend them enough.

    Ben from Butters John Bee was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I met with him regarding a property and he explained everything clearly, professionally, and honestly. He took the time to go through all the details, including potential rental income, costs, and the whole process, which made everything so much easier to understand. You can tell Ben genuinely knows his stuff and actually cares about helping people rather than just rushing through things. Very approachable, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I left feeling much more confident and excited moving forward. Highly recommend Ben and the team at Butters John Bee — top service all around!

    Lleyton-Harding Taylor has let your company down. Was quick to keep finding us a property to view, quick to book us in, quick with ALL communication until our deposit was taken. Then got back to us a day later to say he had been given the outcome of our application from The Lettings Hub, we had failed referencing checks. We then got in contact with The Lettings Hub, apparently they had NOT yet reached an outcome, they had no idea why he has told us they have, and that he shouldn’t have done this. We have been calling, emailing & sending text messages all of which are being avoided. We want to know what’s going on and we want the documents to prove what’s happening. Such a shame, he seemed decent before receiving our deposit! We don’t mind that we’ve failed - but at least if you’re going to tell us something, make sure everyone is on the same page??? Edit in response to Emily: this is about all the communication we’ve had from you guys in a week…however it wasn’t correct, The Lettings Hub (your referencing company) did not…and still has not, made a decision. PLEASE get in contact with your referencing company so we can all settle on the same page! Given your past reviews from landlords & tenants, it seems we’ve dodged a bullet. When agents walk around a property and tell you how they don’t like how the other tenants look…it’s certainly not a good look for your company. I’d advise customers to take their interest somewhere else, if you have a moment, take a look on trust pilot. It provides reviews from tenants & landlords stating how unprofessional, lack of communication & lack of structure this company has.

    The level of service I received from Butters John Bee’s Hanley branch was extremely disappointing. It is difficult to ascertain the main problem with this company as there are a plethora of issues that result in a service that is wholly inadequate. The staff seem to lack the knowledge, training and skills that would make them able to offer a basic level of service in this industry. They appear badly managed by a leader who makes promises his team are incapable of, or unwilling to, keep. At no point did I feel that they cared about me as a customer or about the quality of their work. Communicating with them is incredibly frustrating, as calls are routed through what appears to be a call centre that has no knowledge of your situation and seemingly little interest in connecting you with the local branch. On one occasion, I visited their Hanley office (after repeatedly requesting a call back from their “dedicated phone lines”) and stood waiting for over 30 minutes while one employee ignored me and another socialised with a visitor. Neither apologised or advised they would be with me shortly. The branch itself felt cluttered, disorganised and grubby, which should not have been a surprise. On several occasions, people who came to view my property advised that they had needed to repeatedly (six or seven times) call and/or email BJB to arrange a viewing. It seems like the easy means of contact they promote when trying to secure your business are just as shoddy as everything else. After a period where there was little interest, I reduced the price of my property and noticed, weeks later, that the price had not been amended in their window display. After I terminated my contract, they continued to market my property online for more than a week past the agreed end date. They had received more than enough notice to cease marketing, but only did so when I called them to request the listing to be taken down. I could list many more issues, but the pattern is clear. I expect they’ll reply here with an apology, but that won’t change the experience I had. I have little confidence that any promises for future improvements would likely be kept. I strongly advise choosing a different estate agent if you are looking for a competent service when making what is likely one of the biggest financial decisions of your life. There are many in the area who are able and willing to give you a service that is light years ahead of what this company can provide.
