May 26, school half term - we are first time at Whitecliff Bay caravan park, and it is really good. Very clean caravan, comfortable and quiet at night (the park was full), entertainment for kids next to outdoor swimming pool and in the café, playground. The access to the beach is very steep so we are driving to Sandown or Appley beach. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Lovely place, rooms are not up to standard, we had holes in the door when someone had punched it before. Shower head had not been changed in a very long time, cracked and leaking. Staff in the arcade were rude, sat talking on his phone whilst children waiting to cash in their tokens, kept walking away.
The nab restaurant is over priced and under run. Food was not up to standard. Paid 7.95 for dirty fries which just came out with sauce on. Had to send back, then came back with sauce and cheese, no pickled red onions or anything from else it was meant to have. Over an hour wait for food.
Culvary bar, no food on offer, drinks over expensive. £4.10 for a J2O. Security guard and staff taking the Mick out of an obvious autistic teenager having fun! Absolutely disgusting behaviour and for this we do not recommend this place if she has anyone with disabilities.
I could go on and on about this place.
This is the worst away resorts we have stayed in!!
Recommend disability training and education for your staff and management!

Tired and washed up resort like a timewarp from the 80's
No acknowledgement or welcome from staff in Nab bar or the other restaurant
No pavements to walk on - have to walk in the roads
Everything looks like it needs a good clean and fresh coat of paint
Many of the facilities were not open, available or ready to use. Outdoor pool was dirty
On check in I was handed a paper bag with a key and a review card..no info on caravan (such as heating or fireplace instructions etc)
Accommodation
Indulgent Caravan....Indulgent - I don't think so
Stinky toilets
1 pathetically thin and small roll of toilet paper per bathroom and not even a tiny hotel size bar of soap to wash your hands. But wait you can buy these in the park shop for an inflated price of course..oh never mind the shop closes at 5pm. No good if you check in late
Ants everywhere in kitchen - told only 1 can spray for entire park
Every couch cushion was stained. Had to use duvet from spare room as a seat cover.
Miniscule outdoor deck
Zero coastal views
Terrible wifi...but suprise suprise... an option to pay to make it better!
Don't let this place fool you. The photos and write up (especially of the accomodation) look nice but it is far from the reality once you get here
Really dissapointed in this place. So glad i hadnt booked for longer
Save your precious time and money and look elsewhere.

What can I say about this place, staff are so helpful and friendly, especially Tyler and Taylor in reception and Alison and Kevin who helped us nearly everyday when we were purchasing a house on the island. From late stay requests to recommendations. We stayed in an indulgent pet friendly caravan on the Crosswinds side of the site and it was clean, tastefully decorated and so spacious with a washing machine, dishwasher and amazing WiFi which was invaluable as I needed to work whilst staying for the 2 weeks.
Just as we were leaving today the campsite facility was just opening, what a great well kept field and clean facilities, wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks Away Resorts we could not have got through the stress without your help and understanding from you all at whitecliff bay. See you soon for our next break away.

Absolutely beautiful place! Perfect place to go on holiday with your pooch, our dog adored it and love the gift box that was left for her upon arrival. We also went with our toddler who love the Shallow swimming pool and messy session, the staff were absolutely wonderful with her 🥰
