During the process, I urgently needed the gas and electricity meter readings, but as I live in London, it wasn't possible for me to travel to Nottingham to obtain them.   We rented a place from Haart Nottingham for just about a year. The viewing and explanation process was great but as soon as we moved in and signed the tenancy (which was a pushy move) things started to become worse. Multiple emails unanswered, issues with payments which were returned to us as unpaid even though we paid on time every month. My pet died of stress from the mould issues and limited responses regarding it, when noted that she had a small and delicate respiratory system it took almost 7/8 months for the mould issues to be sorted and we had to get the environmental services involved. She lasted 2 months in that flat and the issues exasperated the cancer she had in her body. So not a brilliant start. We moved into the flat with no curtains and blinds and the toilet went unfixed for months which racked up a £4000 bill from the water company. Walls dirty unkempt and generally of not a good standard. To top it off we were then charged an extortionate amount on the deposit for things out of our control. I dont believe any of this was the fault of the landlord, I dont think he was aware of the issues we faced and how difficult it was for us to live there. As a result it drove us to constantly be at eachothers throat because there was always something going wrong. We couldnt stand to be there anymore after a year. I would expect much better from an estate agent with such a good reputation but we were let down by the Nottingham Branch on several occasions.
