I accepted an offer from a buyer introduced by haart Barkingside, after their initial offer was rejected for being too low. The issue arose when the buyer’s surveyor later valued the property at the exact level of that original low offer. With decades of experience buying and selling property, I recognised the signs of an undervaluation that didn’t align with the true market position. What confirmed my concerns was my final visit to the haart office. The atmosphere and the reactions made it clear there was no surprise on their side about my decision to withdraw. That lack of surprise spoke louder than anything said. I chose not to proceed with a sale that didn’t reflect the property’s real value and moved on with another agent. I’m sharing this now because transparency matters, and sellers deserve to be aware of situations where interests may not be fully aligned with their own.
