I like the idea of WeWork, but I think the company is focusing on the wrong problems. For example, someone once stole my MacBook charger while I was working in a shared space. The desks aren’t covered by security cameras, so there was no way to identify who took it. At the same time, WeWork has 24/7 security whose priority seems to be clearing the shared workspace after midnight because of a policy that’s supposedly meant to prevent people from sleeping there. The strange part is that, in all the time I’ve spent working at WeWork, I’ve never actually seen anyone sleeping in the shared workspace. What I have heard, more than once, is that people’s belongings have been stolen. It feels like the company is solving a problem that barely exists while giving far less attention to one that members actually experience. Another example is building access. To enter WeWork, you need to carry a physical access card. It’s easy to forget it at home, and in 2026 that feels unnecessary. WeWork already has phone-based access technology for private office members, so the capability clearly exists. Instead of making it available to everyone, including hot desk members, they charge £25 to replace a lost or forgotten card. It feels like the company is choosing penalties over solving the underlying problem. Overall, it feels like WeWork is prioritizing the enforcement of low-impact policies over fixing the issues that genuinely affect members. Improving security and making access more convenient would do far more for the customer experience than charging people for avoidable inconveniences.

Great working space, nice receptionist and great view, but when it comes to staff, where you ask for some help, they just useless and don't even trying to solve the issues.I asked the staff member who was enjoying his pool game with a friend for help and just didn't bother helping, was keeping playing pool.

My wife works in the building and left her phone in the car when I dropped her off. I popped in to leave her phone at reception, but the man in glasses who was on the desk at 7:53am on 13 May 2026 didn’t wanna take it cos his shift was ending soon. Tried getting him to take it and hand it over to whoever was taking over, but he wouldn’t do it. Had to wait until 8am, when the lady who took over asked for my wife’s name, found her details on the system and took the phone. Took all of 30 seconds. The first guy was still hanging around at this point, so a bit baffling as to why he couldn’t have taken it. Only reason I can think of is sheer laziness.
