  Difficult and confusing tenancy application process. They cancelled an application and illegally retained the holding deposit claiming we did not provide the requested information, which is plainly untrue. Do not deal with this agent as they have no regard for your legal rights

  My experience with haart was unfortunately a very disappointing one, particularly towards the end of my tenancy and in relation to the handling of my deposit. I was initially facing deductions totalling around £850 for issues that, in my view, the landlord was already aware of during the tenancy. I had uploaded evidence to support this. At one point, a £50 deduction was being discussed for a particular issue, but I was then told that the deduction was actually for something different from what had originally been stated. When I asked Lynna Proctor for clarification, I found her response very dismissive. Rather than properly addressing the points I had raised or explaining why the reason for the deduction appeared to have changed, I was simply told that I had not returned the property in the same condition that I received it. That was essentially the end of the discussion. I found the way this was communicated rude and unnecessarily dismissive. What frustrated me most was that I was not looking for a fight. I simply wanted the deductions to be explained properly and for the evidence I had provided to be considered. I genuinely believe the situation could have been handled amicably had there been a willingness to properly engage with the points I was raising. In the end, I requested that the deposit dispute go to an independent adjudicator, and the amount deducted was reduced from approximately £850 to £350. For me, that reinforced why it was important that I questioned the original deductions rather than simply accepting them. Throughout the process, I was left with the feeling that my position as a tenant did not matter as much as the landlord’s. My experience with the landlord himself had already been difficult, so I had hoped the estate agent would act as a balanced intermediary and ensure that both sides were listened to fairly. I also think there needs to be greater recognition that tenants are an essential part of this relationship. We are the people paying the rent each month, which ultimately supports the landlord’s ability to pay for the services of a letting agent. That financial contribution should not mean our voices matter any less simply because we are not the landlord. A tenant raising a legitimate concern deserves to be listened to, spoken to respectfully and have their evidence properly considered. Unfortunately, Lynna’s dismissive approach left me feeling that I was unimportant and that there was little interest in genuinely hearing my side. Tenants should be treated with the same basic level of respect, fairness and professionalism afforded to landlords, and sadly that was not how I felt I was treated in this situation.

  I would give 0 star. Very disappointed. Booked a viewing and was waiting. Called after 5 minutes was told the agent was running late and asked to call after 10 minutes if noone came. When called after 10 minutes was questioned by one person that if we ever received a booking confirmation and when said yes immediately mentioned that it is unaccompanied viewing. Lacked courtesy and compassion throughout the conversation. Kindly improve your customer care.

  Extremely disappointing experience. I found this agency to be disorganised and dishonest in the way information about the property was communicated. I contacted them more than once, and different agents gave me different and conflicting information about the same property. As a prospective buyer, I should not have to keep calling simply to establish which information is actually correct. Most recently, an agent told me she would email me with the information I requested, despite not even asking for my name or email address. This made the assurance completely meaningless and added to my concerns about the honesty and reliability of their communication. Buying a property is a major financial commitment, and buyers need clear, accurate and truthful information. My experience with this agency was the opposite. The inconsistent information, poor organisation and what I consider dishonest communication have completely undermined my confidence in themNot trust worthy to deal with .I would not recommend this agency based on my experience.

  Fantastic estate agents!!! Georgia Loomes came to look at the house first and was so genuine, friendly, and explained things simply and clearly to me.Every other person in the office I have spoken to in person or via email to have also been amazing, reliable ,professional and have kept me updated with everything. Couldn’t have wished to have been in safer hands! Thanks to all. Oh, I also used Haart estate agents in London in 2000 and it was exactly the same… perfect.
