My review only relates to Becky Howlett who visited my property for a home assessment as I was looking to rent my house. I explained to Becky my plans and strategy in relation to my investment portfolio. I'm not new to the property market and I already knew a bit about what services I required in line with my investment plans. Becky Howlett came in with her own agenda rather than listen to what I was asking for. She wanted to rent my house for a lot less than I was looking for and tried to over sell optional services that I did not require i.e. Legal Protection and Rent Guarantee Insurance. She advised that if I don't take out the Legal Protection service she doesn't not then want to know if I have any issues in the property down the line. She used examples that were clear were made up stories of how one of their customers lost £350,000 because she didn't take out Legal Protection and another family lost £400,000 (the number gets bigger each time). She had a smart way of using examples to get us to be drawn into these optional features that I did not require. Whilst some people can benefit from these services, not everyone needs them otherwise we would all be making losses especially with a buy to let mortgage. She really needed to listen to the customers requirements and not get drawn into her own agenda. I can understand she needs to earn her commission and meet business targets but Becky Howlett went about it all the wrong way. She also started criticizing the terms and conditions of other local estate agents in Grays. This was a perfect example of how not to present yourselve to others and of course I do not recommend the services of Becky Howlett from Haart.

Extremely Disappointing Experience
I honestly don’t know where to begin. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a letting agency.
I entrusted this agency with finding tenants for my property, expecting them to carry out proper background, affordability, and reference checks. Unfortunately, they failed to do so. The tenant they placed in my property stayed for 7 months and paid rent for only 1 month. As a result, I suffered significant financial losses and had to spend additional money on court proceedings to regain possession of my property.
However, the problems did not end there. When the tenant finally left, they had caused extensive damage to the property, amounting to what I estimate to be the equivalent of around 10 months’ rent. The agency advised me to repair everything and assured me that the costs would be recovered through insurance. Trusting their advice, I paid for all repairs myself.stuff very RUDE they ignored YOUR CALL AFTER VERY BAD VERY BAD I can’t explain 😡
To my shock, the insurance payout covered only a fraction of my expenses. One of the reasons for this was that the agency had failed to carry out a proper checkout inspection, despite charging me additional fees for their services. Once again, I was left carrying the financial burden.
Communication throughout the entire process was extremely poor. Calls and emails often went unanswered, and even managers were frequently unavailable when I needed assistance.
To make matters worse, when I decided to terminate my agreement with them, they demanded the equivalent of six weeks’ rent in fees. It felt as though they cared more about collecting money from landlords than protecting their interests.
This agency earned thousands of pounds from me during this period, yet when serious issues arose, I was left to deal with the consequences alone.
They don’t care about you they care about your money. And they not doing they job I done everything water not working tenants calling me wc broken tenants calling me what a hell I pay service charges nearly £400 months I’m dealing everything …😡 go your local agency maybe much much better DO NOT GO THERE they lies everything do not sign anything with them
I deeply regret choosing this company and would strongly advise any landlord considering their services to think very carefully before doing so. My experience has been financially costly, stressful, and incredibly disappointing.

I have never left a google reviews but I felt compelled to leave this review due to the experience we had as first-time buyers.
I’m writing this to warn anyone thinking about buying or selling through Haart Grays. Our experience was horrendous from start to finish.
The field team were poor. Viewings felt rushed and questions were brushed off. Getting hold of anyone was a nightmare; calls went unanswered, emails were ignored for days, and when we did get through, we were passed around between people who had no clue about our case. Basic professionalism was seriously lacking throughout.
The biggest issue was the state of the property when we took possession. It was tenanted during the sale and it’s clear Haart didn’t properly manage or oversee it. When we finally got the keys, the condition was poor - walls damaged, filthy in most parts.
Either they didn’t bother with proper check-out inspections or they just didn’t care what state we were receiving the property in.
Every single step was painful. What should have been exciting as first-time buyers became a constant source of stress and frustration. Issues that should have been straightforward took weeks.
Information was either unavailable, wrong, or contradicted what we’d been told before.
We’re still dealing with the mess weeks after completion and Haart have offered no meaningful help despite this being a property they managed and marketed.
There are plenty of estate agents in Grays. Save yourself the headache and use any other one. The stress, poor service and disappointment we experienced with Haart Grays was beyond anything we expected, even as first-time buyers who knew there’d be challenges.
They had multiple chances to make this right and chose not to. I’m sharing this publicly to hopefully save others from the same nightmare.
I would not recommend.
