One weekend, the elevator was literally falling and hanging, putting me and my dog in serious danger and it sat unrepaired until Monday! Management’s response? “It’s already been reported,” and they left it like that all weekend. Terrifying. The building is supposed to be secure, but my package was stolen from the mailroom, and staff claimed they couldn’t access the cameras. The gate constantly malfunctions, and children were running up and down the halls, banging on doors, forcing residents to install security cameras themselves. Cleanliness is a major problem hallways and elevators are consistently dirty despite repeated complaints. This complex has gone downhill, and Carter-Haston clearly does not prioritize resident safety or security. Save yourself the stress and lease somewhere else, like the newer apartments downtown in Sugar Hill. I will never lease with Carter-Haston again.
