Went by this place twice, and every time (with a scheduled tour) no one is ever in the office. Based off the previous reviews I think I'm good.

DO NOT move here. I've waited a while for this. First off, the only staff that gives a damn about anyone in that complex is the maintenance. The staff in the office are rarely there, they are never coordinated with each other (he said she said) and they mess up basically every job they're supposed to have. The pool was closed and locked all summer, might have been open a week, tops. There's car jackings, 2 shoot outs, fights on a monthly basis. There was a point the police locked down the entire back part of the complex, like 12+ cop cars. Then there's the Zentro internet you're forced to pay or have no internet. Speeds for Zentro are like 1-10mbps, it's a crawl. There were days I was literally getting 56kbps, that's dial up internet lol. The only positive thing I can say about the place is the people living in it, and maintenance. Maintenance tries to do their job but the people in the office don't do theirs so it falls back on them. I'm so glad we're finally out of that place, I've never seen a company care so little and do so little for the people paying them. And for the record that goes all the way to the top, not just the front office. It's very sloppy, and needs to be reformed somehow. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to live here. But hey, at least we didn't get bed bugs 🤦 I will not talk over the website or email, you never responded when we lived there, you're not sorry, this is what people read before they try to sign a lease and here's my warning to them. Don't do it. Spend an extra $100 and live somewhere else.

Horrible place. Visited my sister-in-law here and the whole place was just trash. She has had several issues with water damage that is 100% affecting her health. They have tried to work with the property manager and maintenance which claim nothing is wrong when you can clearly see water damage, hear water dripping when it rains, see it coming down light fixtures or from ceiling, etc. The whole place inside and out looks like it is neglected. Slumlord is the best word to describe the amount of pride they out into this place. The feeling is they charge too much for the level of care just so they can pretend to fix things and pocket the money. The maintenance guy doesnt even seem to know more than a basic, common sense level of things. Other than sheet rock lol. He sure does like to talk about sheet rock. Oh, and he will talk over you if your a female as well as down to females to make sure he is superior. You know, the whole men are smarter and know better than females. Lol what a joke this place is.

I recently moved into ReNew Sugar Hill after not living in an apartment for 16 years, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! The staff has been absolutely amazing, especially Jeida, who was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout every step of the move-in process. Submitting a maintenance request was simple, and the team responded quickly and efficiently. ReNew Sugar Hill is a beautiful, family-friendly community nestled in the heart of downtown Sugar Hill. I’m so glad to call this place home!

Lived here for right at one year, moved in April of 24 when Aishah was the property manager & things were able to get figured out. Lost my job in Sept so I received rental assistance for the month of Oct & before it was accepted she reached out to make sure that I would be able to pay Nov rent before she decided rather or not to wait the 30 days to receive the. I assured I would be because I was going right into another job just was waiting on drug screen & background. She accepted the assistance & so in the upcoming weeks they sent out the check via certified mail requiring a signature, no one was in the office when the check was sent out so the check was sent back to the rental assistance company. Keep in mind I have no knowledge of this happening neither does Aishah. She then reached out to me in end of Dec asking had I heard anything about the check & when it was coming. I told her I thought they had already received it & that I would reach out to them & she said she would try to do the same. Spoke to he program about the check she found out what was going on, informed me & the office of what had happened & asked would they still accept the check they agreed. Jan comes I pay rent, then the property manager changes! So I paid rent Nov - Feb then the new property manager puts a notice to vacate on my door for unpaid rent. I’m like I’ve been paying my rent every month now & the payment from October is otw they should know that. So I go up to pay March rent & was informed that before i could pay rent I had to speak with the property manager (refusing March rent). Property manager called the next day as if she didn’t leave a note stating that I couldn’t make payment until I spoke with her so after asking why I couldn’t pay my rent she then says I’ve filed for eviction already because we don’t accept partial payments for rent & you didn’t pay your Oct rent keep in mind it’s March & I’ve paid every month after October! She tells me she’s proceeding with the eviction take it up with the court. Responded to the notice to vacate a couples days late because I thought business days for the courts were Mon-Fri not including weekends & that we had to go in person or have it in writing sent certified mail because that’s what he notice states not knowing that I could also respond online. I was on a mandatory 6 days at work Sun being my off day so when I found out I could respond online I do so! I was a 2 days late because they also count Sat & Sun even though they are closed & the judge ruled in default for ReNew! When we got to court she LIED about not receiving the check yet even tho I had the emails & proof of payment! They gave me 7 days to move my family until they came & put our belongings out in the rain because I told her she was nothing of a property manager & she would run the place into the ground! There were others that got evicted 2-3 weeks before I did that stayed a month or two after being evicted but because she was in her feelings she made my eviction priority! Definitely seeking legal action for wrongful eviction!
