The property manager was very humble and professional in explaining the details of the rental property. Saw two available units which are very reasonable and well maintained units with upgrades for some of the units.

Wow I am so glad I’m not the only one that hates this place! I moved out beginning of this month to a much way better place where management do there job! Renew should be called Dump Apartments! I have never lived in such a horrible place. If you need something fixed don’t be surprised if it doesn’t get fixed the first 5 times with different maintenance coming in. I love the lady she tries at least and comes quickly. Don’t know what happened to the hispanic guy,he was also nice, but two different black guys came when my ac went out every other day. The last guy actually told me the problem and that it wasn’t just us. Never seen the guy again. Property manager??? Where? They had changed property managers 3 times in a month. Never consistent. Forget emailing them they’ll never respond. Forget leaving a message they never call back. The property manager last year a male told me they check it but don’t have the time to respond! You guys don’t do crap! There’s only one woman that’s there when she feels like it and when you do get her she has no idea or can’t help with that situation. Must be nice to work doing whatever you want and whenever you want. They never come back when they say they would. Waited a hr and just left. Wasted my whole lunch time. They also close early than stated. I arrived 30 mins before closing and they were closed. When I got a hold of someone the next few days she said the manager has to finish up. Then why not say you close at 5:30? They also don’t show up on time. This place is a dump! Also there is always some drama going on every week so you’ll see cop cars a lot. Someone mentioned the fire. I live right next to it and I felt so bad and I saw the property manager just out there taking pictures not even showing any empathy to the ones who were affected. They did nothing to help those families. I don’t know how they are still running that place. Oh there’s always trash around kids just throw trash through the walk way. Walls are very thin so expect stomping loud music or them just talking loud. You will NOT have a quiet day. I knew I wouldn’t renew my lease the first week I was here. It was just the cheapest place at the time. I’ve seen 3 families get evicted. Reading someone’s comment it looks like the property manager fault. Whoever owns the apartments should sell it to someone who can actually manage the place. I feel sorry for everyone who lives there. Get out asap! Or don’t even bother coming. Most likely you won’t be able to get a hold of them! lol!

If you are considering moving here, please read this first. My experience supporting a displaced resident at Renew Sugar Hill has revealed a pattern of behavior that no tenant should ever have to endure — especially after losing their home in a fire due to a negligent tenant. After a catastrophic fire destroyed several units on December 18, 2025, the residents lost everything. Instead of compassion, transparency, or basic professionalism, management (i.e. J. Nyeda Willis) repeatedly: • Attempted to charge rent for a unit that was completely destroyed and uninhabitable • Attempted to charge rent for a temporary unit with no lease, no agreement, and no legal basis • Issued a 24‑hour eviction threat on a unit that no longer exists • Refused to provide an itemized ledger or any written accounting of charges • Ignored multiple written requests for documentation, including fire‑related information • Refused to provide rental‑history documentation needed for the resident to secure new housing • Displayed unprofessional and hostile behavior during an in‑person interaction on January 20, 2026 • Placed the resident in a temporary unit with roach infestation, flooding, and noise issues The most alarming part is the consistent refusal to communicate in writing, even when the resident explicitly requested it for clarity and accuracy. Instead, management posted an eviction notice on the door while still withholding the very information the resident needed to resolve the issue. This is not how displaced families should be treated. This is not how professional property management operates. And this is certainly not how a community should respond to a tenant who has just lost their home in a fire. If you are looking for a safe, transparent, and responsive place to live, I strongly encourage you to consider these experiences before signing a lease here.
