I went to visit my cousin who lives here, and I was honestly shocked by what she’s been dealing with. The noise in the morning and at night is completely out of control. And it’s not normal noise, it’s explicit and extremely inappropriate. I heard it myself while I was there, and no resident should have to live with that. I was told They’ve reported this to the front office three different times. The office told them they can only help with after-hours noise, but the problem is also happening in the morning. They’ve been trying to handle everything in a civil way by going in person and asking for help, but they haven’t even received an update showing that anything was done. And it’s not fair that she can’t even have guests over without worrying they’ll hear those noises. If nothing changes, involving the police is going to be the only option left, because this has gone on long enough. We really hope management takes this seriously and finally addresses it.

We have reached out to the office on 3 different occasions now about the cigarette smell from the neighboring apartment. The smell is taking over our apartment now. We signed a no smoking agreement and our lease states “SMOKING ANYWHERE INSIDE BUILDINGS OF THE APARTMENT COMMUNITY IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.” And yet, they have not replied to any of my emails.

My boyfriend and I moved in on March 22, 2023, when it was still called Story Mundy Mill. We renewed under this management and in late 2024, management changed, and it became Century Mundy Mill. This is where we lived until September 19, 2025. We loved our unit—and at the time the property—so we wanted to upgrade our space. However, when we asked about transferring to a 2 bed/2 bath, we were told we’d have to reapply. After two years of tenancy, it was disappointing to find no internal transfer process, so seeing as how we had to reapply anyway we choose to explore other properties and found one that met our current and future needs. Hence our move out. Positives: • First-ever residents in our unit—it felt fresh and clean. • Location near shops and restaurants was super convenient. • Walking trail near the property Concerns: —1. Trash: Fines were mentioned but not enforced—in my opinion. Trash was often left out improperly, causing odors, stains, and pest issues. I emailed them about it and they more or less told me to take pictures and send it to them for proof. —2. Pet Waste: The green spaces throughout the property were adequate for dog owners, but the failure of some residents to clean up after their pets diminished their usefulness. While I understand this is ultimately the owner’s responsibility I believe the groundskeeping team should step in to maintain community standards. At one point, I even created and posted signs outside our building after repeatedly seeing dog waste left near the stairs for days. Additionally, I believe the community could benefit from hosting an Amnesty Day for Pets—a period when residents could register previously unreported animals without penalty. —3. Parking: Limited parking especially when some tenants parked their extra cars near the building. So it became frustrating to carry groceries from a building or two over when those tenants could park their spare cars in the spare parking spaces. —4. Gate Issues: Surprisingly, the gates were more frustrating when “working” than when broken. The sensors often failed to detect my access card or vehicle sticker, causing traffic backups with no way to reverse or exit. While I personally preferred the gates remaining open, the issue highlights both a security concern and a usability flaw that needs a permanent fix. Rent Concerns: We paid $1,502 for a 1 bed/1 bath (no balcony), but later saw similar units listed for $200+ less under the new management. A rent adjustment or notification would’ve been appreciated. Move-Out Charges: If an apartment complex chooses to install carpet in its units, I believe replacement should be the property’s responsibility—not the resident’s. Carpet should be replaced between tenants for sanitation and wear purposes, so being charged for this felt unfair. I also question the paint charge, particularly because it appeared they used flat paint throughout the unit. Flat paint is a poor choice in an apartment setting, as it easily absorbs stains and makes it difficult for residents to clean or touch up blemishes without leaving marks. I recommend the property consider switching to a semi-gloss or satin finish instead. This would allow residents to maintain the walls more easily and potentially avoid unnecessary repainting fees at move-out. Final Thoughts: Story Mundy Mill had minor issues but upon turning into Century Mundy Mill the issues amplified and got worse. I hope this honest, constructive feedback helps management improve the community experience for future residents and does better than their sister property.
