We had a very disappointing experience with West-22.
My son lived in one of the shared units with three other roommates. Unfortunately, one of the roommates constantly brought guests over, and there were repeated situations where people were staying long-term and even smoking marijuana on the balcony. My son reported this multiple times. Management’s response was limited to sending a general reminder email to all residents, but the situation never improved.
At the time, we chose not to escalate the issue because we wanted to handle everything peacefully and respectfully.
Later, due to serious family circumstances — including my husband losing his job — our son had to discontinue his studies, and we needed to terminate the lease early. We returned the keys and spent months trying to re-lease the room as required. We posted in numerous housing groups, contacted the office repeatedly, and asked for assistance. We were even blocked from some groups due to how often we were trying to find a replacement tenant.
Despite all of our efforts, we received little to no practical help from management. Communication was extremely difficult — emails went unanswered, and phone calls led nowhere.
We were told we must continue paying and were offered a payment plan, but the payment methods requested (money transfers, mailed checks, etc.) did not feel secure or traceable. We asked for a standard, transparent way to pay — such as through our online account or via ACH — but this was not provided.
Now we are being warned about potential collections, despite months of good-faith efforts to resolve the situation responsibly.
We understand contracts are contracts. However, compassion, communication, and basic cooperation should still exist — especially in student housing, where families can face unexpected hardships.
This experience has been extremely stressful and discouraging.
My experience with the staff at West 22 has been nothing short of phenomenal. Every time I have a question or concern, someone is there to help. Special shoutout to Coby for being a listening ear and a problem solver.

I’ve been really impressed with how well this apartment community is run, and a big part of that is the account manager (Tacobyus). He’s always approachable, kind, and genuinely helpful whenever residents have questions or need assistance. You can tell he really cares about making sure things run smoothly and that people feel comfortable here. This place is lucky to have someone like him on the team. 10/10 employee.

I had a great tour experience at West 22. My tour guide, Jack Broxton, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He did a great job explaining the different floor plans, amenities, and leasing options, and made sure all of my questions were answered clearly. Jack really stood out because he was personable and honest, he didn't rush the tour and took the time to highlight what makes West 22 a great place to live, especially the community atmosphere and amenities. He made the entire experience smooth and stress-free, and I left the tour feeling confident and excited about the property. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and Jack Broxton represented West 22 exceptionally well.
