The complex is nice for the most part however the 2 main things I pay for in rent that’s important to me as why chose Century New Holland to live, there is always problems with. The 1st is the gates. Why even have them when they’re always broke and they main entrance one the opening is too wide so when I scan my keycard the car behind always zooms up behind me and swerves around to that opening to get in. I don’t feel safe in a community with badly designed gate entrance. I’ve been to several other complexes and there entrance is setup way better ensuring no unauthorized persons are entering. The 2nd thing that is always a problem is the valet trash. The trash either is not getting picked up at all or they are skipping over my unit saying some bogus reason they couldn’t get it. Oh and lastly the office staff seems to always forget to add my name on to the pest control list to have them come spray. Me or my mom will call down and ask to be put on list and then the day comes we spend all day waiting purposely cancelling plans and nobody shows up. The office just says sorry and promises we’ll be on the next list. So not too happy with how my last year here has been going but I’m giving it another try this year. Hopefully these things can be rectified. I added the only pic I have of an instance where the gate was broken. Bent backwards the other way.

Edited & Updated : I would like to say that I had a very nice talk with Patrisha, one of the managers. She explained that what happened is unacceptable and that is not how they do things. It was used as a teachable moment for the team and she assured it wouldn’t happen again. She invited me back to get a proper tour, however my situation has changed so I respectfully declined. I appreciate the genuine apology, and all the right efforts were made to correct the situation.
I had a horrible first impression of this complex. I booked a 10am tour, right when they open. The leasing agent just handed me the keys and told me to go tour it myself, no room to ask any questions. No one to show me around and look at amenities that the complex provides. When I returned I told her I had questions and she didn’t even sit down with me to answer them, handed me no papers with information and just said she’d send an email. If they can’t make time for a 10am appointment right when they open there’s no telling what it’s like to be a resident here.

I lived at Century New Holland Apartments from August 2023 through June 2025. During that time, my family and I did our best to be respectful tenants and maintain our home. Unfortunately, our experience with management and their handling of lease matters was confusing and stressful from early on.
Between October 2024 and January 2025, we received several lease violation notices — four related to alleged noise complaints and one regarding cleanliness. We took each notice seriously but were never contacted by police or cited by city authorities for any violation.
In January 2025, management delivered a letter stating that our lease was being terminated and that we were required to vacate the property. This was not a court order, but an internal notice signed by the property manager. Believing we had not violated our lease, we remained in the apartment. The matter went to court in February 2025, and the judge ruled in our favor due to insufficient evidence for eviction.
We continued living there until May 2025, when we received another lease-termination notice — this time from the company’s legal representatives — alleging harassment of staff and other serious claims. I denied these allegations in writing and requested documentation supporting them, including any reports or witness statements. No such documentation was provided.
Given the tone of the letter and the stress the situation caused our family, we chose to comply and vacate. On June 7, I received an email from their corporate management stating that our lease would continue through its natural expiration in August 2025 — after we had already moved out. This contradiction was never clarified.
In July 2025, management filed another eviction case. We appeared in court, explained that we had already moved, and the judge ruled for eviction without prejudice regarding any rent owed. Under the court’s order, our family was considered to no longer be in possession shortly after that court date.
In August 2025, I was contacted by the company’s corporate office regarding a “final balance.” They claimed we owed rent for June, July, and August, plus maximum liquidated damages and apartment damages totaling over $14,000. I informed them that the billing appeared to include rent for a period after our legal eviction. To date, I have not received clarification or further correspondence.
This experience placed a heavy emotional and financial strain on my family, contributing to significant hardship. While the apartment itself was in decent condition, communication from management and the handling of lease enforcement were inconsistent and confusing. I encourage any future tenants to keep written records of all interactions and notices.
As of this writing, to my understanding, this matter remains unresolved between myself and Century New Holland’s management. I intend to address it through the appropriate channels and in a manner I consider fair and lawful.
