When I first moved in 8 years ago, everything was great. After changes to the entire management team, not so much. The apartments are pretty from the outside.
They are roach infested and mold infested. Kids that bang on your door or egg your window. Parking space is a huge problem, a unit sometimes has 4-5 cars and only uses 1or 2 cars. Utility trailers, box trucks, business cars, fixer upper that never get moved, parking spaces get used up quickly. I have 1 car and sometimes struggle to be find a space. Management doesn’t do much to facilitate the fair use of parking spaces. When you bring up to their attention, they have their hands tied. Gates are always open.
At times I don’t feel safe. There has been robbery, shooting, and break-ins. A person was shot in the neck (you can look it up, it’s online) Management does not seem care for your safety, all they bring up when you say something they don’t like, is the contract you sign. For security reasons, I placed a work order for the lights on the breezeway in case someone knocks my door during dark hours I can see who it is. I talk to one of the workers about it, she did nothing. Few days later talk to Christina the manager about it, she said she’d make sure it’s done because that is their responsibility, 2 weeks later- nothing.

I Am a resident at wood terrace an
Recently i had the living room fan fall due to not being set up properly i called the office asking for help but the lady told me I had wait until someone wanted to come by very rude she was unable to tell me when the maintenance people will come by imagine this been an emergency .but thank god Mr.william knows us from past apartment issues he came right awey and fix it
right up best maintenance guy ever so polite .

I lived at Wood Terrace a little over 10 years. When my wife and I initial moved in the community was great! Over time the community has declined. A huge plus of Wood Terrace is the location! Conveniently located near Spaghetti Junction. Near the city, but far enough. A few things to consider before moving to Wood Terrace.
Parking
The parking situation is insane at Wood Terrace. Many families have multiple cars to a unit. As well as people bringing work cars home, or the fixer-uppers that occupies space. Also, many people are not considerate when opening their car doors. Dents and scratches will accumulate on your car. Residents will also “create” parking spaces or parking in fire zones. Nothing will be done by security.
Rental Unit
The units at Wood Terrace are extremely outdated. The pictures advertised as units are not the same for all units at Wood Terrace. Roaches are a huge problem! Mold was growing in the bathroom of my unit. I informed the front office of this issue. They gave me the runaround, but eventually sent a contractor out to my unit. The contractor cut a hole where the mold was growing then patched it up. Never solved the problem/source of the mold, only masked it. Maintenance is okay. They are not mindful of cleaning up behind themselves. Nor do they leave a note stating they were in your unit if you’re not home.
The Property
Wood Terrace offer LIMITED amenities. The pool is often closed down during the summer months. No outdoor grill area ANYWHERE on the premises. Nor is grilling allowed anywhere on the premises. The dog walk area has ZERO grass, and is cover in dog poop. There is a gym, and a pool(one pool) that’s all. No club house, or office space.
Safety
The property is safe to an extent. I’ve witnessed shootings, apartment fires, and car break-ins at Wood Terrace. It doesn’t happen often. But it has happened. Maintenance will come into your apartment sometimes with notice, sometimes without. I work 3rd shift. Therefore my schedule is slightly different from the average. Many times I’ve ask maintenance to leave my apartment. Because maintenance will come into my unit while i am in MY BED, dosing off to sleep.(spoke the office regarding this matter and maintenance, I was ignored)
Overall living at Wood Terrace is great for anyone starting off in life. The units are somewhat rundown, with paint plastered on to cover blemishes, and damages. Trash accumulates in dumpster areas, as well as Breezeways. Property managements has a low care level with anything pertaining to rental units, property amenities, and residents. The cost of Wood Terrace is high, and you will NOT be getting a bang for your buck. I suggest paying a for a place to call home where there’s 24hr security, assigned parking, covered parking, a dog walking area, and AMENITIES!!
