Shanay has been amazing! Anytime I’ve had a question or needed assistance, she handled it quickly and with such a great attitude. It’s rare to find someone who is both efficient and genuinely kind. The Deco is lucky to have her!

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!
I have only been living at this apartment community for two months, and the number of serious issues in such a short time is alarming. Especially given that rent is nearly $4,000 per month.
The level of professionalism from staff and management is extremely poor. I personally witnessed a verbal argument between the white manager and the black lady with the bun at the front desk take place in front of residents. After the manager walked away, the bun lady remained nearby and made inappropriate, unprofessional comments about her manager, while on the phone, while I was present. This behavior was uncomfortable to witness and reflects a lack of professionalism and respect for residents.
Maintenance has also been a major concern. Requests are not handled properly, repairs feel incomplete or rushed, and overall follow-through is inconsistent. Additionally, there are visible mold issues, which is unacceptable and raises serious health concerns, particularly at this price point.
This community is marketed as luxury, but the experience does not align with that description. Between unprofessional staff behavior, ineffective maintenance, and unresolved health and safety issues, the value does not come close to matching the cost.
After just two months, I can confidently say this is not a place I would ever recommend. If you are considering signing a lease here, understand that once your paperwork is complete, you may be left dealing with serious problems on your own. Proceed with caution.
Also, don’t believe the 5 star reviews. They ask people to make fake emails and leave them. Specifically the black lady with the bun and bad attitude who tells everyone she hates her job here.

I’ve lived here for almost a year now and the change in management is VERYYY noticeable. Things doesn’t get done in a timely manner and the communication with management is terrible. My first time encountering the manager was not pleasant AT ALL! You would think as a new manager you would want to be very friendly to the residents and speak when you see them but each time I see her she gives me a terrible stare and walk away. I have noticed a behavior change when it comes to race. I am a person of color and she never greets me but when a person not of color come around she is very friendly and speaks with them. I genuinely loved this building but if this is who is managing it I will be leaving when my lease is up!!!

⭐ 1 Star – Deeply Disappointed
I recently visited my girlfriend while she was living at The Deco at 5211, and I am still shocked at how poorly she was treated.
She simply requested that a faulty key/garage access device be replaced so she could safely access the parking garage. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the leasing office staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. No one should feel disrespected for asking for basic security access to their own residence.
Because the issue wasn’t properly addressed, her car was eventually broken into. This could have potentially been avoided had management taken her concern seriously. Resident safety should be a top priority, not an inconvenience.
What made it worse is that instead of resolving the issue responsibly, they ended up kicking her out. The lack of accountability and empathy throughout the entire situation was unbelievable.
If this is how management handles simple maintenance and security concerns, I would strongly advise future renters to reconsider.
