West Park has been an incredible place to live. We’ve been here for over a year, moving in before all of the homes were even completed. Our move happened quickly after we were displaced from our previous home due to the hurricane, and during that time the staff was supportive and understanding. While there was some back and forth initially, everything improved significantly after the transition to the current property management team, and it has only continued to get better since.
The current staff is attentive, responsive, and genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure this is a welcoming and safe community. They take complaints seriously, listen to residents, and follow through, which truly makes a difference.
I’ve seen a few recent posts about wildlife being spotted near homes, which feels a bit surprising to me. Less than three years ago, this area was entirely wooded, and many animals were displaced both by development and the hurricane. Seeing wildlife outside from time to time is not unusual given the location, and I have most definitely not spotted any rats. There have been many possums though. That said, we have had zero issues with pests inside our home.
The amenities are consistently well maintained. The gym is always spotless, the pool is open year-round for hot summer days and winter cold plunges, and the community is very pet-friendly. There is a dog wash station on-site, along with dog waste receptacles and bags conveniently located throughout the property. Valet trash service is also included, which adds to the ease of daily living.
Another standout is their move-in policy, there is no security deposit or last month’s rent required. You only pay for the month you’re moving into, which is incredibly uncommon in today’s rental market. The pricing reflects strong market value, and all utilities except electric are included in the rent, which adds even more value. Any billing concerns I’ve seen discussed seem more likely to stem from misunderstandings of charges rather than issues with management.
We love living here so much that this year we also opened a corporate lease with West Park for our employees. They’ve had a great experience as well. I can confidently say this is an experience unlike any other in Augusta, and we’re truly happy to call this place home.
