Ms. Sonia Griffin is GREAT! She assisted me with my move in process. She allowed me to tour multiple apartments to find the one that fit me. She walked me through the process and made it easy. She was also very informative when I had to change my move in day. She assists me any time she is on property.

There are ROACHES everywhere!!! An exterminator said the infestation is in the foundation and that is true because they come out the walls, the ceilings, everywhere!!! Maintenance and Management don’t do anything to fix it! You will literally have roaches falling on your head!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I lived here and from literally day one it was infested with roaches. And before anyone tries to blame the tenant, I am a clean freak. I never leave dirty dishes in the sink, I take the trash out regularly, I clean constantly. There is absolutely no excuse. They were everywhere regardless. Floors, walls, kitchen, bedroom… to the point where you genuinely cannot sleep peacefully because you feel like something is crawling on you. It is beyond disgusting, it’s inhumane. What makes it worse is that the issue clearly comes from how poorly the complex is managed. Right outside my apartment there was a boiler room door that was left OPEN for months. Inside? Trash, filth, roaches everywhere, and a boiler that looked decades old with zero maintenance. Eventually they replaced it… but instead of fixing the situation, they left the old boiler and all the debris just sitting there outside my door. Dead roaches everywhere, garbage, rust — it looked like a literal dump. Imagine inviting someone over and that’s the first thing they see. It’s humiliating. Honestly, it’s humiliating just to live there as a human being. And all of this while I was paying my rent ON TIME every single month. Safety is another joke. There is basically no security. The key fobs NEVER worked properly, so anyone could just walk in the gym. I personally experienced multiple harassment situations in the gym from people I didn’t even recognize, men exposing themselves and saying disgusting things. You don’t even know if the people there actually live in the complex or just walked in. Now let’s talk about the money. They charge you $65 a month for pest control… that they NEVER actually provide unless you constantly chase them. Meanwhile, I had to spend my own money on traps, sprays, everything just to try to survive in that apartment and the problem never went away. And after dealing with ALL of that, after living in those conditions, after paying rent on time, they still had the audacity to take money out of my security deposit… for hanging THREE frames. This place is not just bad, it’s neglectful, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. Save yourself the stress, the money, and your sanity. Do not live here.

I recently applied to, “The Legacy at Druid Hills” and my experience with this property has been frustrating, disappointing, and very alarming. As someone who typically rents luxury apartments, I decided to try this location due to it’s lower pricing, thinking it would be a cost saving/temporary stay while my other properties are being remodeled. Unfortunately, the entire process has been riddled with issues surrounding transparency, professionalism, and communication. When I initially applied, I noticed that the security deposit was clearly marked as “refundable”. There was an additional “$200 fee per applicant” at the end of the application process that lacked any clear indication of being non-refundable. Even after reviewing the third-party agreement, there was no language explicitly stating that this fee could not be refunded. This lack of clarity feels misleading. I reached out to the leasing office for clarification, but the communication process was chaotic. I spoke with Jada, who advised me to email her and said that the manager, Sonja, was busy. I requested a call back or email from Sonja, but this never happened. My grandmother, who also applied, tried calling to speak with the manager but was connected to Dominique instead. Dominique falsely claimed to be a manager and then hung up on my grandmother—a highly unprofessional and disrespectful act. After these incidents, I decided to visit the office in person. Dominique, who had previously claimed to be the manager, admitted that she was not, which I found both alarming and deceitful. When I asked her to show me where the application fee was stated as non-refundable, she pointed to a section I hadn’t noticed before. This was frustrating because the security deposit had been clearly marked as refundable, yet the application fee lacked the same transparency. When I finally spoke to Sonja, the actual manager, her response was dismissive and lacked empathy. Instead of addressing my concerns, she defensively stated that she had worked at many apartments and had never heard of a refundable application fee. Her response felt condescending and did nothing to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, Dominique interjected herself during my discussion with Sonja and offered her personal opinions about my application, which was completely inappropriate. During my interaction, Dominique stood over me the entire time, which created a tense and uncomfortable environment. What was even more concerning was that, as I left the office, Dominique followed me outside. This behavior came across as confrontational and gave the impression that she was attempting to escalate the situation further. It was both unsettling and inappropriate. I also noticed that Dominique's personal presentation appeared unpolished and unprofessional, which is not what I would expect from someone in a client-facing role. Her appearance seemed unkempt and suggested a lack of attention to self-care. This leaves an impression that does not align with the standard of professionalism generally expected for someone in her role. The thought of leasing at this property, knowing that this staff would not only have access to my personal information but also to my apartment, is incredibly concerning. If this is how they treat prospective tenants, I can’t imagine how they would behave in the event of an issue after moving in. The apartments themselves were underwhelming. The 3-bedroom unit I toured was small, with a tiny, cramped shower. The townhome I viewed was outdated and smelled strongly of smoke. The quality of the units are far below the standards I’ve experienced at other properties. This is what they mean when they tell you “ you get what you pay for”. The cost cut is not worth it. The lack of transparency, poor customer service, unprofessional behavior, and subpar apartment quality make this property one I would strongly advise others to avoid. Dominique’s behavior, in particular, was alarming, and her decision to follow me outside after my conversation crossed a line.
