If you’re planning to move here, don’t! Save your time, money, and frustration. I recently moved out after staying here since last November, and this entire experience has been nothing but stress and disappointment from start to finish.
When I first got approved, Blair was very nonchalant, which should’ve been my first red flag. Then they told me I had to rush and pay my deposit and rent immediately to “catch the special” that required me to move in by a certain date. I paid right away, only for the move-in date to come and the apartment wasn’t even ready.
No one reached out to let me know when it would actually be available. I had to call and call and call until I finally got in touch with someone not Blair, but a man who actually quit shortly after just to finally get a key. This ended up being a week after the initial move-in date, which should’ve been prorated, but wasn’t.
When I walked into the apartment, I was shocked. It was not the same unit I did the initial walkthrough for. The apartment they gave me had very old, yellow, non-working appliances in what was supposed to be a “renovated” unit. On top of that, the place was completely infested with roaches.
I have asthma, and the infestation made it even harder to breathe. I had to bomb the apartment three to four times, which caused me to wait another two weeks before I could even begin moving my things in and make the place somewhat halfway livable.
Then to make matters worse, they didn’t accept my rent payment even though I was never late. Communication was terrible. Upper management quit, leaving the property basically being run by Blair, who clearly doesn’t care and handles everything with a nonchalant attitude.
To top it all off, they stopped the mail lady from delivering mail to the residents. The mailboxes are located inside the leasing office, which means you can only get your mail during business hours (8:30–5:30) and since the office closes at 5, if you work normal hours, you’ll never be able to get your mail. I had to literally go to the post office to track mine down. Thankfully, the day I went, I met the mail lady in person, and she told me they had stopped her from delivering there and even told her no one lives at the address. Because of that, the post office stopped putting mail in the boxes altogether. Absolutely ridiculous.
There was also an abandoned pitbull living inside the gated area for about two months, chasing people who came to visit and scratching up cars. Management’s response? They told us to “deal with it.”
This entire experience was unprofessional, unorganized, and unacceptable. From the false “model apartment” they show you, to the lack of communication, to the unsafe and unsanitary living conditions nothing about this place is worth it.
If you’re thinking about moving here, please don’t. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. This place is poorly managed, full of empty promises, and will only cause you headaches. What you see on the tour is not what you’ll get once you move in.
