I moved here in April. In the first 90 days, I have had maintenance damage personal property and strew jewelry on my floor. Upon move-in, I was missing appliances, and have an alarm system that was nonoperational.. After seven months it still is not fixed. Upon move-in I also had nonoperational appliances, and unfinished drywall work in my unit. My air conditioner stopped working twice in the first 90 days. I was told this was not an emergency over the summer. Maintenance requests are routinely documented as completed when--in reality--they have not been completed. After seven months, sink stoppers I documented as nonfunctional are still not functional. I have received some sort of notification for trash stating that I somehow violated the trash policy. I inquired on this exactly four months ago in writing. I have received no response from the property. I have had no electricity overnight with no emergency number. The property manager has disabled the emergency number to the property. I have complained about this to no avail. I have had fire alarms going off from 3:30 AM until at least 7 AM in my unit. I was not able to speak to maintenance about this as the property manager has disabled the emergency number. I was told this was an emergency by staff after the fact. Their solution was to simply turn off all of my fire alarms. I have no operational fire alarms or alarm system in my unit. Not all of my electrical outlets are functional in my unit. Over the summer, as a collective punishment of the property, the pool was closed. The clubhouse has been closed for six months since I have moved in. Now, it is only available to rent. The gym equipment is largely nonfunctional. The expansion joint seals in the parking garage are loose and hanging--or completely absent. The parking gate is routinely nonfunctioning, not allowing ingress or egress--oftentimes upon leaving for work or returning home from work causing delays.

One of the reasons I enjoy living here is because the leasing office actively puts on monthly events. They just hosted a Fall Festival before Halloween, and it was so heartwarming to meet my neighbors and see the kids in the community. The event also provided the opportunity for small business owners in the community to gain exposure as well. This event is in addition to their wine down wednesdays and other holiday themed events. They're really good at making you feel like you belong here and that they care about you - and who doesn't love free food and drinks regularly!

Unfortunately, the ratings for this apartment complex are very misleading. Most of the positive reviews seem to be about the leasing office, not the actual living experience. This is, without a doubt, the worst complex I’ve ever lived in. Cleanliness: Cleanliness is clearly not a priority here. Trash is often left in the hallways, which are stained and dirty. Pet waste is sometimes left on the floors. While management will fine residents $100 for leaving trash out between 6 PM and 8 AM, they frequently allow dumpsters to overflow for days without being emptied. Amenities: The gym is poorly maintained. Several pieces of equipment have been broken for months, the gym bathrooms are often locked after 5 PM, the water station hasn’t worked in over half a year, and there haven’t been any cleaning wipes available for at least two years. Maintenance & Security: The property feels neglected. It constantly smells like weed, and there’s no visible security presence. There are no working cameras, and multiple doors leading to the parking garage have been broken for over six months, with handles missing or not functioning properly. Some doors don’t close at all, and these issues have persisted for more than two years. The fire alarm goes off every couple of months for no apparent reason, and residents are never notified when it’s a false alarm. At this point, most people don’t even take it seriously anymore. The parking deck gate is frequently broken—once, it was left wide open for around eight months straight. Guest Policy: The guest policy is unreasonable. Guests are only allowed to stay for 48 hours per unit, regardless of how many residents live there. This makes it difficult to have visitors or family stay over. Overall: This complex does the bare minimum to maintain its property and seems to have no pride in its appearance or functionality. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value cleanliness, safety, or basic upkeep.

Avoid this place if you can. The staff are completely unprofessional and never answer the phone. On top of that, the place has roaches. Take that how you want, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

Excellent service and attention from Kolawole and Reggie. Their work in the maintenance area is exceptional; everything is always in order and on time. Without a doubt, they are very valuable people for the Hendrix property.
