I am a new tenant who moved in on 3/6/26, and I have already noticed a serious and uncontrollable roach infestation. While the apartment complex does offer decent room sizes, the pest issue has made my experience extremely disappointing so far. I contacted the leasing office about the problem and was informed that pest control only services each apartment once every two weeks. Unfortunately, that schedule does not appear sufficient to address the severity of the infestation. No matter how clean you keep your apartment, the roaches continue to appear.
Another concern is the lack of transparency before move-in. Prospective tenants are not allowed to view the actual unit they will be renting beforehand. Instead, they are only shown a model apartment. In my opinion, this can be misleading because the model unit does not accurately reflect the condition of the apartments tenants may actually receive. The model itself also appears outdated and has likely not been updated since around 2020.
Additionally, the apartments do not include built-in lighting in the living room or bedrooms, which means tenants must purchase lamps just to properly light their living space.
Overall, while the room sizes are decent, the pest issue and the inability to view the actual unit before signing a lease were major drawbacks. I would strongly encourage prospective renters to carefully consider these issues before deciding to lease here.

‼️‼️ I’ll give you the real reasons why not to sign a lease here:
1. Squirrels will burrow into your roof, run through it all night, get stuck and die in your walls. You may even see one in your kitchen like I did.
2. Outlets will have electrical issues and will short whatever you plug in. The A/C clunks out every week during the summer. There was an electrical fire that burned down one of the buildings last November. Picture attached, or you can look it up.
3. 🪳 Roaches and fruit flies will swarm your place no matter how much or little you clean. Just keep killing them until you move out.
4. The walls are made of paper and hold moister easily, creating mold that is never truly fixed. Mold, mold, mold will form in your bathrooms or from the tenant above.
5. Lastly, there are pipes that break monthly so the apt will shutoff water for hours with no notice or update. You just hope and wait around.
You’ve been warned🚩
UNRESPONSIVE STAFF TO AN EMERGENCY WORK ORDER. They do not care about their tenants. My kitchen window was broken by maintenance or someone & has been broken for over 3 weeks, I put in a formal request for repair on 9/25/25 and was told it would be fixed by 9/27/25. MY WINDOW IS STILL BROKEN, this is absolutely ridiculous, there are bugs getting in, water and it’s also unsafe as it’s broken glass. I would not live here again and I do not recommend living here.
Don’t move here, waste of money, very old appliances and they don’t care about raising rent even though your pay rate stays the same. Mold is everywhere VERY OVERPRICED. THE RENT HERE SHOULD BE 590 not 1100. It’s a scam

Living at Briarcrest has not been to pleasant. They have plumbing issues all over their complex. The water smells like sulfur/rotten eggs. They do not fix thing in a timely matter. The buildings are old and they have a lot of maintenance issue due to lack of care. I had to report them to the health department for mold and plumbing issues they would never fix. I reported the problem to management and they never sent maintenance to remove mold or fix water leak. It’s not the worst but definitely far from the best. Take heed.
