A REAL review of The Beck. Lived here over 3 years. Review is attached in the photos. It’s definitely changed in 3 years. They charge you $25 if you leave you trash in the bin outside of your door. Even when the trash people fail to come pick up.

I've been living here for about two months, and here’s my honest take: On the positive side, I haven’t had any issues with management or maintenance so far. Communication has been smooth, and my maintenance requests have been handled promptly, which I really appreciate. That said, this building does not live up to the “luxury apartment” label. The hallways and elevators are consistently dirty. Although I’ve been told they are cleaned regularly, I have yet to see them in a clean condition since moving in. My unit itself was also a disappointment upon move-in. It was clear that it hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained after the previous tenant. While the apartment initially looked nice at a glance, it quickly became clear that the construction and finishes are cheap. Our floorboards are lifting, and we’ve had an ongoing issue with ants coming in through the gaps. Overall, the biggest issue is the lack of cleanliness and the poor quality of the units. It might be more acceptable if this weren’t marketed as a luxury apartment with luxury pricing—but given what you actually get, it’s just not worth it.

If you are a person of color don’t move here. This is absolutely the worst place I’ve ever lived. I lived here for 1 year and my experience was absolutely horrible. Terri at the front desk tried to accuse me of trespassing when I LIVED there. I tried to bring this matter to her boss in which I received a call from them saying that things would be taken care of and never received an update from them for the 5 months remaining on my lease. Everytime there was a request made through email or the portal, expectations were not met at all. I felt unsafe the entire year I lived. There were always police there and fire alarms were pulled in the middle of the night. Finally, upon moving out I was beyond shocked to see I’ve received an $800 invoice because of “damage to the unit”…. Do not move here if you are a student, a person of color or if you value your sleep, money or sanity…

The floors and walls are frail as hell, you can smell and hear everything your neighbors are doing! especially if they are heal walks 😩 if your neighbors smoke You can smell Zaza smoke really bad in your apartment and from the side walk since they moved in half of the basketball team for usf it’s at its worse now…...they say no smoking allowed on patios but when you mention the zaza smoke the office dismisses you so why even have it in your lease?…. this is the last year here for us!
