This complex was Tampa Park Apartments AKA home to low income individuals like my family when I was younger. What a shame they tore it down to gentrify the area. Families were displaced for this complex to be built.

I have been living at La Union for a few months now and I’m so surprised by the reviews here. This has been a safe, comfortable, and clean place to live. The bug issues mentioned are false this is a brand new building. The office staff member Kimberly is wonderful she is always professional and kind. She made our leasing and move in process amazing. But what makes this community amazing is the Apartment Life events. Kim and Alessandro do an amazing job crafting fun and entertaining cocktail hours and activities. They do a great job of bringing people together and making La Union a great place to live.
I had an amazing experience at La Union Apartment, thanks especially to Kim! From the moment I arrived, Kim was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. She made sure everything was smooth and comfortable throughout the leasing process.
The apartment has been great, well-maintained, and Kim went above and beyond to accommodate any request or questions I had. Her communication was fast and efficient, which made the whole experience even better.
I truly appreciate her hospitality and dedication. If you’re considering leasing at La Union Apartment, I highly recommended reaching out to Kim.
Honestly, it’s hard for me to read some of the negative reviews about this property. I moved here in 2024 when the first building opened, and from day one, the leasing office has been nothing but accommodating. The team made me feel welcome and heard from the moment I arrived.
My first year here was great—you really can’t beat the state-of-the-art pool, spacious fitness center, and friendly staff. When Cassandra, the Property Manager, left for a few months, things did dip slightly, but since her return, she’s gone above and beyond to make everyone feel at home again. She has been a huge help since she has been back, and without her, I don't believe things would be going as well as they have been.
Jared and Kim have always been quick to answer any questions and consistently deliver top-notch customer service. When I decided to transfer from a two-bedroom to a one-bedroom, the leasing team worked closely with me to find the perfect fit. They even let me tour several units until I found the one that felt right.
Before I moved in, the maintenance team ensured everything was in excellent condition, and Luigi has been fantastic about handling any maintenance requests quickly and professionally.
Overall, I’m genuinely happy living here. The Gasworx project brings an exciting new energy to the Ybor and downtown area, and I’m proud to call this place home. The La Union team has felt like family, and I am looking forward to next year here and all the events they have to offer. If you are looking for your next home, not in the center of downtown, but still want the walkability and downtown feel, this is the place. Easy enough to trolley into downtown or walk over to Ybor City! If you have a chance to talk to the leasing team, you should; they are nothing but a friendly face throughout the day. The apartment is pet-friendly, and it's fun to see all the dogs throughout the property. The best place to call your new home!
Not resigning my lease due to parking issues, packages being misplaced and/or stolen, key fobs not working to enter your apartment/lobby/amenities & amenities always being closed
1) la union towed my car while I was unloading my car, la union states its residents fault for not parking inside the garage to unload and will continue to tow its own residents cars instead of contacting the tow company to give specific guidelines on what to tow and what not too. No where stated in the lease says unloading car will turn into being towed.
2) parking garage is never working, always open so homeless people come in and out breaking into cars / La Union had a resident car get stolen out the parking garage due to it always being open. Residents pay so much for parking and continue to get charged for the garage never working. So your stuck with parking outside the garage and then get towed.
3) pool is always closed for “maintenance” la Union barely sends emails out to warn residents so you have several residents and residents with kids just get ready to go to the pool and walk up on signs say do not enter it’s closed.
4) for 3-4 weeks La Union had issues with key fobs so residents were stuck outside their own building and parking garage not being able to get in, they sent email saying “they are doing the best they can” only to get fixed month later. So as a female late at night being stuck out of my building is very UNSAFE in this Ybor area.
5) package system at la Union is terrible. La Union expects all delivery drivers to know where the package room INSIDE the building to be when they need to drop off. So you have your packages being placed either outside buildings during day and night to just get taken by someone. The front office staff does not do anything to help with communication to the drivers they expect the maintenance workers who are constantly doing work around the building to relay information to the delivery drivers on how to get in the package room.
You pay ungodly amount in fees at La Union for stuff to never work, or get told “we are doing our best and stay patient” for months, the front office is always super rude when you have problems with your key fob, parking, etc.
Do not live here unless you want all these problems.
