- GSGina SeguiMay 13, 20251.0Updating on 10.22.25: adding pictures of how life is after buying a Ryan home. You get to live like this. No lighting in these rooms. All my furnitures is in the garage. Fun times. I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of construction in my newly built home by Ryan Homes. The workmanship / construction falls far below what I expected from a builder of this reputation, and the experience has been frustrating and disheartening. Some of the major issues I’ve encountered include: • Baseboards that are dented, chipped, and poorly painted. • Uneven flooring on the second floor, with creaking and hollow sounds throughout. • Damaged doors, including French doors that look like they were dropped and hastily painted over. • Stairs and banisters with chips and damage from poor installation. • Sloppy paintwork inside and out, with drip marks, scuffs, and an inconsistent finish. • Visible beam showing in the first-floor ceiling, indicating a truss issue that should never have passed inspection. • Shower floor pan sealed improperly with grout, which is now cracking and leading to mold concerns. • Vent fans throughout the home rattle loudly with any wind, suggesting poor installation or low-quality materials. • Wall cracking in multiple areas, raising serious concerns about structural quality. Unfortunately, these problems are not isolated to my home. Several neighbors have experienced the same poor workmanship and lack of attention to detail in their Ryan Homes builds. Buying a home is a major investment, and the quality received here is simply unacceptable for the price paid. I expected better from Ryan Homes. I’m sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions and avoid the frustration and regret that comes with dealing with these issues. Be careful!
