I was very excited about the possibility of living here. I loved this complex — it’s genuinely beautiful, well maintained, and left a great first impression.
Unfortunately, the leasing process was extremely frustrating. While the staff were always kind and polite when I spoke with them, the communication was very unreliable. For example, I would call around 11 a.m. and be told I would receive an answer by the end of the day. Then there would be no response for several days. I would wait a few days before following up again, only to be told the same thing — that I would hear back by the end of the day — with the same outcome.
This cycle happened multiple times over several weeks. I understand that applications take time to review and that leasing offices are busy, but repeatedly being given specific timelines that were never met made the process feel like a loop of excuses rather than a clear update.
This situation was especially inconvenient because my lease at my current place was coming to an end. When asked for a move-in date, I provided one, yet weeks later I still had not received a clear response. The uncertainty was stressful, particularly because we chose not to apply elsewhere (my mistake)— we loved this complex so much and genuinely hoped it would work out.
however, In the end, I decided to go elsewhere.
I toured another complex, applied immediately after the tour (as I did here), was approved within two hours, and moved in three days later. That experience really highlighted how much better this process could have been.
Overall, it’s a beautiful property, but I wish the communication and follow-through during the leasing process matched the quality of the complex.
***Response***
At least you do reply to reviews. Whether this happened seven months ago is irrelevant.
What you’re saying isn’t accurate. I submitted my application around the 15th with all required documents. On the 29th, I was asked to resend everything by email, which I did the same day—within less than two hours.
I was told, “You will get an answer from us by the end of the day!” Instead, there was silence. No call back and no responses for days—not that day, not the next, or the day after.
Every other day, I followed up by phone and email, and each time the same thing happened. At that point, it honestly felt like I was being fooled.
A few days later, I received another email asking me to resend the documents, saying, “I feel like I already saw this, but can you resend…”—even though the reply was sent directly to the same email thread that already had the documents attached. I replied again promptly with everything.
Once again, I was told, “You will get an answer by the end of the day.” And again, silence for days.
I didn’t receive approval until August 11th. By then, I had already signed with other properties. This is especially frustrating considering this is not a cheap complex, you were requesting 3x the income, and I clearly showed that my personal income alone met that requirement. It should not take a month to review five PDF documents.
