  I almost NEVER write reviews, but my goodness, I had to leave one for this team. The management is unreachable, and the rare chance they are, they are short, condescending, and never fail to make me feel stupid for asking questions! Terrible customer service at the leasing office and they treat you like you are a nuisance to them. I have never in my life met a team so unprofessional and incompetent. I’ve always talked to them with utmost respect, “yes ma’am, no ma’am, yes sir, no sir”, and they continue to talk to me as if I’m a 5 year old!! I simply don’t understand how the people you PAY so that you can live in their community do not care about their residents. Clearly I’m not the only one who feels this way. Not to mention the terrible groundskeeping of the lawns. I feel like I’ve seen the grass cut ONLY TWICE since January!!!! Everything is overgrown, animal poop everywhere. and the laundry rooms always break down/ dryers don’t dry, and take forever to be fixed. And just like one of the reviews before me, the roach infestation worsened recently (and I’m a clean freak), and the roads are awful! The maintenance team on the other hand is great, just were slightly rude. The photos and advertisements are insanely misleading and I hope that future residents do their research and take the time to visit.

  Unsafe, Unsanitary, and Deceptive: Severe Pests & Dangerous Road Neglect As a current resident of five months, I am leaving this 1-star rating due to absolutely unacceptable living conditions and gross neglect of the property. Prospective renters need to be fully aware of what they are moving into. 1. Severe and Unresolved Pest Infestation: Since the day I moved in, my unit has been plagued by a severe roach infestation that has only worsened over five months. Despite repeated contact with management, the problem persists. The constant presence of pests is a serious health and sanitation concern. I am paying for a clean home, and the management's failure to resolve a basic habitability issue like this is completely unacceptable. 2. Dangerous Property Neglect (Potholes and Road): The property's maintenance outside is just as neglected, specifically the main entrance road and parking lot. This area is filled with huge, destructive, and unavoidable potholes. The combination of these massive holes and the severely poor lighting creates a dangerous hazard, especially at night, which has led to tire damage and financial cost to my vehicle. * Deceptive Practice: When I was first shown the unit, the leasing agent used the "back door" to avoid showing me this hazardous roadway. * Confirmed Responsibility: I personally contacted the City Roads Department. They inspected the road and confirmed that these repairs are the full responsibility of the apartment complex, despite what residents may be told. In summary, the management is failing to maintain basic health standards, is neglecting dangerous infrastructure, and is being dishonest about property repairs. Living here has been incredibly disappointing and stressful. UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE Aside from the Ascend Exterminator sent 6-8;weeks after first visit ( which did nothing for the infestation) I refused her entrance because in desperation and refusal from Ascend Management to do anything to help I had to hire my own PROFESSIONAL exterminator ( I will leave a review for them separately) the outlay of money for this service and all the spays I purchased previously leaves me financially struggling. As a senior citizen this has been the worst experience of my life ! I have fallen 3 times at night in my home for fear of where I will encounter more roaches - the OWNERS of this property have no conscience for their renters - I was told they will pay for nothing !! Yet they want my rent in full , on time each month - my next step - I’ll leave a further review as necessary… by the way ORKIN only after two treatments have made a huge difference - they -the roaches - are not gone yet but it’s promising…however if the issue remains from an upstairs apartment and the infestation returns there will be a whole different issue to report. This company owns a few other apartment complexes in the area - be mindful of who you are renting from -

  Thinking of moving to The Ascend? Save your money! The grounds are a complete mess, and it’s not worth what they charge. Seriously, don't do it. Been here a year the grass only been cut 5 times and its all weeds! Front office is non existent. Its a Jungle here!

  I appreciate Diana for the complete help in the situations I have had while living at the Ascend. She has always been kind and efficient with everything. I appreciate her.
