If I could go lower than 1 star I would. I moved in back in 2021 and moved out in November of 2025. In my years there I have watch the quality and care of this complex go down hill. The maintenance workers would get angry at me for asking for my AC to be fixed when it would freeze over every day for 2 months straight. The temperature in my apartment would be of 90 degrees. I brought this up to management and the maintenance got upset for me talking to them. There were several occasions I would request a repair in my apartment where there was an option for the maintenance to call for an appointment. I would select that option and also add a note stating to not enter unless a resident is home. They would enter either way or just close out my maintenance request. Regarding the safety of this complex it is horrible. There are no lights in the parking lot at night making it super dark. This then prompted homeless people to enter the complex and go into the trash and cause vehicles to be broken into. There would also be people that I’ve personally witnessed multiple times drive from off the street and park in front of the leasing office and use the pool that did not live there. Towards the end of my time here my neighbor moved out where the cleaner left several trash bags and raw food/meat outside the apartment. This trash and raw food stayed outside in the heat until I moved out in November. The food and trash became rotten and moldy from the heat causing maggots and other bugs to form. I brought this up again to the people in the leasing office but there was no change. Finally, after I provided the cashiers check to break my lease in November for the agreed amount as stated in my contract I left. But the issues didn’t stop there. I was directed by the staff to leave all my internet equipment inside the apartment. I did and the internet provider was going to change $200 for unreturned equipment. Thankfully I was able to get the equipment. I also then started to speak to Laura Peterson who does all the leasing information and who I provided my cashiers check. She refuses a walkthrough because they were busy (there was one resident in the office). I then sent several emails about my security deposits reimbursement (never answered). I then received a reimbursement for the incorrect amount. Several phone calls were made to Laura and the office but no answer. Several messages were left, and no calls back. Hopefully this review makes a response from the complex and warns all future residents to not live here.
2.5 stars. I’m not giving 1 or 5 stars because while the apartment itself is great; updated, quiet, and bug free (as of now), the outside environment is a dealbreaker. The staff is helpful and kind, but the neighborhood is being ruined by residents who don't care.
The amount of dog waste is disgusting. I’ve ruined multiple pairs of shoes stepping in piles, and you can’t take a 5 minute walk without seeing 6-10 more. The dog park is just a dirt/sand pit covered in poop. On top of that, people are feeding stray cats, which has led to the constant, overwhelming smell of cat pee on the stairs and right on our front doors. Instead of having peace and relaxation on my walks, I’m constantly looking down at the ground, dodging poops while holding my breath. Dog owners, if you clean up after your dog and expect your neighbors to have the same courtesy; then I have an ocean front property in Kansas to sell you.
MANAGEMENT: It is time to hire a professional pet waste removal service. If my private dog sitter can afford a weekly cleanup crew, a complex this size should too (especially with these insanely high rents). It isn’t fair to those of us who follow the rules to have to navigate (or even clean up themselves since no one else does!) a minefield of other people's messes, just to get to our front doors.
Needed a maintenance man to come by and fix something in my sister’s place. Thankfully Freddy came to the rescue! Often you get stuck with an angry worker but Freddy was amazing, very friendly, and most importantly - actually knew what he was doing. Thanks, Freddy!

Finding this apartment at such a difficult time in my life has been a huge blessing. I'm going on my 2nd year living here, and I can honestly say that Laura, Ottima, and the new property manager, Brandon, are truly caring, wonderful people. The office staff and maintenance work really hard, and have always been willing to genuinely listen to my concerns. As a single mom just trying to make it through each year, having a great apartment complex to live in has been a huge relief. The amazing wildlife, beautiful pools, and walking distance to my childhood movie theater are definitely a bonus as well -- my daughter and I hope to call this home for as long as we can.
