If I could give zero, I would
I lived in this apartment complex for exactly one year, and it was by far the worst living experience I’ve ever had. Everything below reflects my personal experience during my lease.
During my first month in a 1 bed / 1 bath, 540 sq ft unit, my electric bill came out to over $300, completely abnormal for an apartment that size. After I brought this to management’s attention, a new AC unit was eventually installed and my bill immediately dropped to around $70 every month afterward. Despite the clear difference, I was never reimbursed for that first extremely high bill.
By month two, I started dealing with a bat infestation inside my apartment, something I never expected to experience as a tenant. Over the course of the year, I had eight different bat incidents inside my unit. There were days (and even weeks) where I couldn’t safely stay in my apartment. Management’s response felt slow and very unhelpful. Pest control visits didn’t solve anything, and maintenance only partially patched areas where they THOUGHT bats were getting in. Months later, during my final two months, bats returned because the issue had never been fully resolved. For all the disruption of not being able to live in my own home, I was only given $150, which didn’t come close to covering the inconvenience or time spent away, or money I put into purchasing my own repellents. To whoever is currently living in Apt 58, I'm sure there are bats in your apartment. Please see images of the bats below.
When I moved out, the apartment was left in perfect condition and I was not charged any damage fees. Even so, it took the complex over three months (moved out April 2024, wasn’t issued deposit until beginning of August 2024) to return my $1,000+ deposit. I had to repeatedly call and email, only to get vague and inconsistent explanations every time since nobody at the office knows what they are doing.
In my experience, the property managers at the time — Elaine Nurse and Waleska Solares — were unhelpful and extremely slow to respond to serious issues. It always felt like I had to chase down answers or assistance.
The only positive part of living here was the maintenance worker Sergio, who was consistently kind, hardworking, and respectful. He was the one bright spot in an otherwise awful year.
I would never live here again, and I strongly recommend future tenants look elsewhere
