I wouldn’t wish the experience of living at Lake Side Villas on anybody
Today they hired a Landscape company to do work around the complex which resulted in damaging my car, I went to the landscape owner to explain the situation and denied responsibility, due to me being young and not knowing what to do I explained the situation to the Property Manager, Rodger
We approached the company to tell them the issue, and the owner of the landscape company proceeded to insult me, using phrases like “Go back to mommy and daddies house,” flexing how he makes “2500 every 5 days” and calling me a thief and telling me to “earn my own money and get a job and stop being lazy”and making fun of how my car looks by pointing out unrelated details about my vehicle. What made matter worst was the fact that Rodger, witnessing the situation, did nothing at all. And watched this company insult, disgrace, and disrespect me. I proceeded to walk away from the situation because of how rude the man was to me when all I wanted to do was explain the situation. I didn’t swear. I didn’t insult him. I work very hard for my things and the audacity for this man to insult me was ludicrous. My main issue isn’t with the landscape company it was with the management. I too am a buisness owner and if I witness my client being blatantly disrespected by someone I hired. I would’ve stepped in. But that’s what separates good buisness owners and people like this.
If that situation that occurred today wasn’t enough to steer you away from this community here are some other examples.
This apartment is old and outdated. They show you a brand new, remodeled unit however the actual unit you get will be way different. You can tell before moving in, the fixer uppers quickly paint over everything as there is signs of paint splatter over everything. We had an issue with mold, which the guys came and just painted over the mold. Real safety issue
We have several issues with plumbing and appliances stop functioning which is a real quality of life issue. Every other day there’s a new issue. Example our front door was never bolted in correctly. It would never close, and with how unsafe this area is I am just glad we were safe.
We’ve had several issues with roaches and other pets in our apartment. Again real safety issue. Apparently Pest control comes once a week. But I still always have pests
Don’t even get my started on Maintenance requests. They will not respond to them unless you call them repeatedly. Then they tell you “We will see what Rodger says” who happens to always be on some kindve lunch break.
I’m new to the area and I read the reviews before deciding to move to this complex. So my decision to move here was on me. However unless you want to live in unsafe area, with roaches swarming around, and be absolutely disrespected when all you have been is a good tenant then by all means move here. They make it seem luxurious however this community is waiting for a lawsuit to happen. Fortunately I will not be renewing my lease which ends soon and I can move somewhere much nicer. My problem isn’t with everybody that works here, The maintenance team is really nice and efficient and there’s one leasing agent named Natalie who I’m assuming is a manager, when you walk in her desk is on the left side, she’s very helpful and kind and always goes out of her way when I have an issue. I’m unaware of her name but Jcolon was very kind and helpful as well. However The other lady as well as the property manager are very rude, they never smile at you, they’re customer service is lacking, all you are to them is a number. Which when you pay 1600 a month to live somewhere, you should feel welcomed and special no matter what. But again that’s what separates a good management/good business from this. I am very disappointed in this community and was wishing for better.

I feel disappointed with my experience as a resident. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but after a recent situation I felt it was important to share my experience. One of the apartment’s employees damaged my partner’s car during landscaping and was disrespectful afterward. Although the office staff, including the property manager, were present, the situation was not addressed and no action was taken.
We expressed our concerns, but the response and overall handling of the situation left us feeling unheard. This is especially disappointing because I do like the apartments and the amenities they offer.
This does not apply to everyone in the office, but unfortunately it has been the majority of our interactions. Overall, the apartments are nice, but the level of attention and care toward residents has been lacking.
