I really didn’t want to leave this review, but I feel I have no choice and don’t want anyone else to go through what I experienced. Please do not lease here.
I had a terrible experience living at this property. The building is falling apart,
at one point, my neighbor’s roof was exposed for several days due to a plumbing issue. And my roof was leaking as well.
I signed my lease stating that I would not be renewing and personally confirmed this with a staff member. We were leaving because we could no longer afford the unit; with everything included, it came out to $1,500 for a one-bedroom. Our move-out date was 12/08/2025, and we turned in our keys on that date. We also paid rent through the month of November.
Despite this, we recently received a letter claiming we owe $800 in past-due charges and that we will not be receiving our security deposit. I have tried contacting the property manager multiple times and have received no response.
Please do not waste your time or money leasing here.

I would like to formally express my frustration and dissatisfaction with the extremely poor maintenance service at this complex. For several months, I have submitted multiple maintenance requests for my apartment. I have not only reported them through the portal, but I have also gone in person to the office, and none of my requests have been properly addressed.
What is even more unacceptable is that some of these requests are being marked as “completed” in the system when no one has come to my apartment and no work has been done. This is completely unacceptable and disrespectful.
My rent payments, including the maintenance portion, are fully up to date. It is not reasonable to continue paying for a service that I am clearly not receiving. Quite honestly, I feel cheated.
I have gone years without having the carpet replaced, and what I am requesting is a proper cleaning, along with other maintenance issues that remain unresolved. This reflects clear negligence from the maintenance department.
I expect my maintenance requests to be addressed immediately, and for work not to be falsely marked as completed when it has not been performed.

Edit: I wrote this review without knowing that 3 weeks later I will receive a letter stating that I owe $1,400. I was left so confused because when I left Lakeside villas, Nathalie told me that everything was fine and in order.
I went to the front office on Monday and Nathalie was there with a not friendly demeanor when I asked why I owed money, when she told me a couple times that everything was fine, and then she changed her tone of voice and became very rude and stated that she was talking about the payments that I made every month not about the contract policy. According to the contract agreement I have to let the office know 2 months in advance about leaving the place, but I notified the office 51 days so I was being penalized for that. I'm so upset because I went to the office and spoke with Brandi and asked if that was ok to let the office know in advance only for 51 days and she stated it should be fine. I also went twice to ask the office and Nathalie told me again that it was fine. When I went to the office on Monday January 5th and brought all my paperwork with proof of payment, Nathalie told me it's corporate policy and if I did not pay I will be sent to collections even though she told me it was fine. I'm so disappointed and disgusted the way she handled my situation and brushed me off like nothing. She even dared to say "my apologies but it's corporate policy and Brandi no longer works here". Just writing this review so nobody believes and trust this place, and don't believe when Nathalie says everything is fine because it is not true. I did pay 1,400 and asked for my receipt because this place is not honest at all.
I highly recommend this place, Lakeside villas became my home for a year. I loved my one bedroom apartment, it was very spacious. The office took care of any maintenance but I only needed once and it was fast and efficient. I really going to miss this place. I leave with very good memories! ❤️

I love this place. I am a responsible person and service dog’s owner. I do picking my service’s turd to keep the place clean and comfortable walking around. But, whose IRRESPONSIBLE DOGS OWNERS don’t pick up their dogs turds! There are TURDS everywhere I meant EVERYWHERE! I was so upset that I accidentally squish someone dog’s turd this morning!
To whose IRRESPONSIBLE DOGS OWNERS, if you don’t have a waste bag? There is nearest dog waste bag and trash station. It’s only pick your dog turd up less than 15 seconds and trash it nearest station, NO EXCUSES! if you are unable pick up their shit. Don’t own a damn dog and REHOME your dog! Your dog does deserve better, you careless humans!
I had the unfortunate experience of living at this apartment complex, and I can't stress enough how terrible it has been. I lived here for 4 years and when the property was sold to a new management company everything went downhill fast. I have dealt with infestations of cockroaches and other pests, which is disgusting and completely unacceptable. The management company is reluctant to utilize pest control. There were also signs of water damage in my apartment, adding to the overall feeling of neglect and poor maintenance.
To make matters worse, the laundromats are a hotbed for theft; I've had my belongings stolen multiple times, making it hard to feel safe even while doing laundry. A couple times a month, the complex is overrun by hundreds of people who don’t live here, throwing loud and violent parties, which makes it impossible to get a good night’s sleep and feel comfortable with my children living here.
The management is completely unwilling to address any of these issues. When I reached out for help, they were reluctant and dismissive, and maintenance requests are often ignored, leaving many problems unresolved. I also felt like management manipulate lease terms and unethically of their own shortcomings to squeeze more money out of me, which was incredibly frustrating.
The amenities are subpar and not worth the hassle, and the property grounds are filthy, making the whole place feel neglected. My unit was damaged and over 50 years old, lacking proper insulation, which resulted in electric bills exceeding $300 in the summer because the air conditioning couldn’t keep up.
In short, there are too many issues to count, and I would not recommend anyone to live here. Save yourself the trouble and find a better place!
