Dear Members of the Corporate Management and Administration Team,
Through this letter, I formally and respectfully address you with the purpose of leaving written record and submitting an official complaint regarding a situation that occurred at the administrative office of the Forest Place building, located at 1650 NE 135 St, North Miami, which I consider inappropriate, concerning, and contrary to the principles of professional ethics, respectful treatment of residents, and proper administrative management.
Earlier today, at approximately 4:50 p.m., I entered the building’s administrative offices to request assistance related to the package reception lockers operated by the company Parcel Pending, which are part of the community’s service system. Upon entering, I was attended by the building manager, Jessica Cáceres.
In a respectful and courteous manner, I requested her assistance in providing or facilitating the access code necessary to create my account with Parcel Pending, as I have experienced recurring issues with package deliveries. On one occasion, a package addressed to my wife was placed inside these lockers without us having access to them, preventing us from retrieving it.
I wish to clearly state that I am not interested in receiving my packages through these lockers, but rather in continuing to receive them directly at the door of my apartment, as has always been the case. My request was solely intended to allow me to contact the appropriate company directly and resolve a situation that is beyond my control.
Despite this, I did not receive any form of assistance or guidance. Furthermore, when I requested help to verify whether any of my packages might have been mistakenly placed inside the lockers, this assistance was also denied. The treatment I received from manager Jessica Cáceres was disrespectful, unprofessional, and lacking the ethical standards expected from
In this context, the manager stated that my wife had indicated that she did not want the apartment transfer. This statement is completely false. I immediately clarified that we have never rejected the transfer and that we are still waiting for a solution to this issue.
The most serious and concerning incident occurred when the manager, without any argument or legal basis, proceeded to verbally threaten me with non-renewal of my lease and even eviction from the property, clearly constituting an abuse of authority. This threat is entirely unfounded, considering that:
• I have been residing at this property for two (2) years.
• My family has resided in this community for over five (5) years.
• I have fully complied with all contractual and legal obligations.
• I have never missed a rent payment, which can be verified through administrative records.
The situation concluded with my forced departure from the administrative office and with defamatory insinuations against my person, suggesting that I had threatened manager Jessica Cáceres, when in reality the only statement I made was my intention to elevate this matter through the appropriate corporate and executive channels—a legitimate right afforded to me as a resident.
I hereby leave formal record of all the above as written evidence, in the event that future threats, retaliation, or arbitrary attempts at non-renewal of my lease occur against me or my family without legal basis.
My name is Marco Valencia, current resident of the Forest Place building. I wish to state that my intention is to continue residing at the property.
